Perfection! Excellent location in the center if historic Annapolis on circle facing the elegant state house. Beautifully appointed public spaces easily accessed yet intimate feeling. Close to lovely shops and bars/restaurants. We especially enjoyed the Galway Pub’s happy hour drink & food specials $4 house wine and 99cent oysters wtc. Later for dinner we enjoyed hearing traditional Irish band and the best stew I’ve tasted in years served with authentic Irish brown bread. Try a pint of Smithwick’s or one from the local brewery and you’re all set! Navy officers dressed in their sharp uniforms mixed with families and young couples tapping their feet as the band played (not too loud-perfect volume so you could still be heard by your dinner companions). The displays of archeological findings, exposed floor showing where heated greenhouse once stood and old photos are displayed to proudly display the building’s history. The building may have been here a long time, but the rooms did not feel old or stuffy. Ours was a beautifully decorated and appointed room with a king bed, firm comfy mattress and large fluffly pillows. Furnishings looked like antiques but had outlets builtin for easy hookup to charge laptops & cellphones etc. Valket parking offered at a charge was friendly and efficient. Parking is hard to come by and parking violations are easily comeby in this small town with meters limiting stops to 30minutes.
