Across the street from the Maryland State Capitol, Historic Inns of Annapolis is a half-mile (0.8 kilometers) from the U.S. Naval Academy.

The inn's guestrooms are spread among 3 stately buildings. The biggest is Calvert House, a 51-room Colonial structure that faces the State House. This inn features the Hypocaust, a unique greenhouse system, visible through a glass floor in the lobby, which overlooks a small patio provided for alfresco coffee.

Robert Johnson House is a Federal-style building with 29 rooms, and the 44-room Maryland Inn affords good views of the town from its wide porches. All buildings were renovated in March 2006.

The inn offers a complimentary shuttle service around Annapolis on request. Valet parking is available for a surcharge. No self parking at the hotel. 6 meeting/conference rooms, including a ballroom, are available for events, and a 24-hour business center is on site. Where to Eat

Treaty of Paris - Tucked under dark wooden beams, the restaurant is one of the city's most romantic spots. On chilly days, fires blaze in two fireplaces. The menu features regional seafood and Continental fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The daily full breakfast is served from 7 AM to 11 AM and is available for a fee.

Drummer's Lot Pub - Guests enjoy people-watching from a seat at the bar or on one of the wooden benches in this English-basement pub overlooking Main Street.
