The overall condition, design, cleanliness, service level and room conditions were excellent. We were pleasantly more impressed with our day-to-day experience than the high expectations we already had from photos and prior reviews.
The spa/massage manager, activities director and front office/desk manager were very accommodating. They definitely understand how to make guests feel like they come first. Just excellent service...
*The “only” true “potential” downside was that although the vast majority (90%+) of staff wore masks indoors (unlike many guests) and outdoors, there were a noticeable half a dozen staff members (including security and 1-2 waiters in the buffet/dining areas) that wore their masks either at their chin level or, more commonly, only over their mouth (not their nose as WHO and every country’s medical experts state is necessary to maximize SARS-CoV-2/Coronavirus transmission.
A secondary aspect regarding Covid-19 transmission minimization needing implementation is to add cleaning the seat/chair arms, not just table tops.
Many of the guests (easily more than 50%) also did not wear masks indoors (including in the small spaces of lifts/elevators). Guests were mostly from Russian, Ukraine and Britain. It was easy enough to personally wear masks and still feel safe in all areas of the hotel.
Everything else was quite exceptional and we would definitely stay again (as is) and would expect to enjoy our stay just as much!
