This is our second stay at the Marmara, and we couldn't be happier. The location is excellent, all the facilities are top-notch, and the staff at reception and the restaurant are very nice and friendly. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay, and we'll definitely be coming back.

Stay away from Marmara!
My trip to Marmara was sadly one of my worst experience. Staff was cold and not very helpful, language was clearly an issue, service was non existent, nothing I can think of was positive, just terrible!

Excellent experience
The stay in Marmara was exellent! The staff was very professional and friendly. In check in our room was updated for better option - it was the room with an astonishing view from the window. We really enjoed by our stay , service and environment. We want to say special thanks to the recentionists- to Side, Cokhan, and Begin (please correct me if spelling of names is not exact). They made our stay in Marmara exectional!

Sadly let down.
The grounds are amazing and clean. Hotel rooms are very average , dated and very basic. Pictures are of rooms and front of hotel are old , nothing like that now. I paid a premium price but was very disappointed with the room and hotel. Breakfast was average too

the room decor is simple, even funky, but the view thru big windows overlooking the Med and the Tauros Mountains is world class. Both a big pool and ocean access. Big lawn and lots of trees and bushes to help minimize heat issue.

Ac does not work even at 18deg. No hot water, Power failure, horrrible pillows and draper are just for sure. 5:00 a.m you get the light right into your eyes.

Confusing Decor !!! Rest everything is perfect
The decors are 'confusing' , the color scheme of the rooms, lighting etc. Make it appear as if it's an 'adult-only' hotel e.g. in our room on the bathroom door there was an oriental nude painting, the room door had erotica art painting but in general it appeared a perfectly family friendly hotel We were traveling with kids so was a bit embarrassing to have such caricatures in the room . I booked a standard room with city view. Noise issues at night. The bed was uncomfortable and found hair in the sheets. The towels looked yellowish and dirty. Good thing I packed my own towel. Besides the inconveniences, the hotel doesn't allow to bring food or drinks to the bedroom, they don't even want to allow to bring a bottle of water from outside. Instead, they want you to buy food from their overpriced and presumably bad food at their restaurant and "minibar" (a small fridge packed with unhealthy, expired and small sized junk in the room). This hotel is more like a prison or a hospital. Not a place to enjoy your vacation. This rule is not listed on Expedia and it should not take you by surprise. It would be better to call and make sure you have the freedom to eat whatever you want in your own hotel room, without having to fall for their scam.

I was stuck in the elevator for 40 minutes, I banged the door, pressed emergency bill constantly and no one came to help. Finally I was rescued, I am a heart patient and diabetes. I asked to talk to General Manager, i ended up speaking with kitchen assistant manger. I am a life time Elite member with Marriott and IHG, never experienced such an issue. I am angry at the hotel manager, I was told he was not in the hotel but he would not even care to call. I could have been dead. I asked for the two nights refund and they would not offer except if i stay for a free night which I could not.

Mamara hotel was unique for its going around building where we stayed zThe room was was clean .However the breakfast could improve like basic pure orange juice and they only have one type of coffee.

cheaper and lower auality
This hotel was famous for its good quality of SPA service but now they are not even capable of making porper appointments. They booked me on a wrong date and ruined my experience. Moreover, you need to improve the cleanliness of the room. Just one positive: the staff is really kind
