Nice location, great restaurant

Room was clean, staff was friendly. Great value for money. AC was a little touchy and bathroom sink faucet was a challenge. Minor issues overal.

Dear Gin, thank you for taking the time to post your comments. It is indeed a pleasure to know that you enjoyed your time with us, especially our great restaurant, friendly staff and Beach front location. We have rectified the bends in the faucets as the bend was too steep. All of our air conditioners are new, could have been just a change to the setting that need to changed. Looking forward to your return visit in the not too distant future. Best wishes, Riaan Thiart

Nice hotel in Antigua

Posted Apr 1, 2016 on Orbitz
Cons: The only minor issue was the limited wifi in private rooms. The wifi was strongest in the lobby.
Location: The hotel is beach front with water cruises, jetski, sailboats, kayaks, as well as tours which can be planned with the front desk.
Hotel seemed expensive but it was great considering all inclusive foods, beverage, hot running water, cleanliness, and working AC. Hotel and staff exceeded my expectations by comparison to other visits in Antigua. The upon arrival the staff was accommodating and very friendly. The staff would constantly ask if there were any issues. The room was amazing, outside the from door we had the view of the beach, and by the balcony we got the beautiful beaches, the pool area and the mountain. The room was thoroughly cleaned. Overall great experience.

Great hotel with friendly staff.

Posted Mar 9, 2016
Upon arrival, the staff was very accommodating. They are all hard workers and maintain a smile on their faces. They were able to accommodate any small requests I had. The food was always delicious and varied. The beach was right on the property so there was no need to travel far.

Ok hotel beautiful view

Posted Mar 7, 2016
The hotel overall was a bit out dated! The food was great along with tge service. I did pay for a balcony front and recieved a basement level room. I also requested wheelchair access and none of that mattered i guess.

Great location and food

Posted Feb 21, 2016
Pros: Food, location, bed, A/C
Cons: The buildings could use an update soon, and the hotel needs an ATM
Location: The beach (Halcyon) is wonderful. We took 3 tours: a Catamaran trip, stingray city, and Ecotours which were all excellent.
I had a great 1 week stay here. The location is fantastic, right on a gorgeous beach shared with Sandals. The bar is right on the beach and quite efficient. I was nervous that there may not be a lot of vegetarian options, but I was pleasantly surprised. There was always several salads, fruit, steamed vegetables, potatoes, rice, beans, baked goods, and my companions enjoyed the meat options as well. The rooms are aging but clean, the furniture was decent, and the bed was huge and comfortable. Nice new A/C unit. Shower/toilet needs an update, but not a big deal. I didn't spend much time in my room anyway. The staff were almost all great. The servers were efficient, front desk was helpful, tour desk was knowledgeable. Only a couple bad encounters: the towel hut lady was usually busy on her phone and made us get our own towels. I walked in on a housekeeper using my phone charger (who knows what else they help themselves to), and when I ate breakfast alone no one offered me coffee or cleared my plate. I sometimes felt less respected as a young single lady. None of those really affected my holiday which was great over all.

Good hotel on nice beach ( next door to Sandals)

Posted Feb 15, 2016
People were great, food was ok, on par with past experience at other Caribbean all inclusive resorts. Nothing special though. Restaurants were open for set meal hours, no food available outside of those hours so consider that if you plan off site trips to snorkel, etc. You could miss meal and be out of luck. A good destination for a quick get away, for a long stay or for a special occasion, I would want a little more. For the most part I would say fairly priced.

Great beach location needs TLC

Posted Jan 31, 2016
Location on the beach is nice but resort needs some tender love and care. Rooms need a deep cleaning, gardens are unkept, food is all buffet with broken toasters, pool was cloudy, beach was not raked and was covered in reeds that had washed up. Neighboring places rake and clean their beach fronts. With a bit of attention this could be a great resort.

The photos are a bit outdated.

Posted Jan 28, 2016
Pros: Hotel is located right on a broad section of the beach.
Cons: Promotional photos are outdated. No boats at hotel. Several palm trees that would provide shade are gone. Some public areas need fresh paint.
Location: A short taxi ride from airport. There is also a taxi stand and rental car company directly across from the hotel.
Basically a nice hotel right on the beach, but upkeep is a little short. The room with balcony was ample size. Flat screen TV, but no clock. Meals and drinks in the All-Inclusive plan were good. Nice open air dining room, with bar and lunch available on the beach.
