The Place to be just fabulous!!!!

Pros: We absolutely love the hospitality of all staff
Cons: Golf cars would be great to transport guests from one location to the other of resort.
Location: Location is very close to airport and city, you can go horse back riding, jet skiing, shopping etc...
To say Sandals Grande Antigua is just beautiful would be an understatement. It is absolutely Grand!!! One of our best vocations ever!!! The hospitality of all the staff members was just excellent and beyond. Miss/Mrs Claudine at Pub/Drunken Duck was just amazing. She was extremely polite, kind, caring, friendly, and very respectful. Miss/Mrs Claudine along with Nurse Milka is an excellent and positive contribution to Sandals Grande Antigua Resort. we already recommended to family and friends, and would definitely go back.

Wonderful Location

Pros: Pretty much everything!
Cons: A film channel in rooms, update the bed & room decor, docking station only takes old version iPod, could ask for donations to care for animals & birds
Location: Beautiful location so you do not really need to leave the resort to go anywhere if you don't feel like it. Otherwise boat trips are good & day trips.
The Sandals resort in Antigua is located on right on a great, long, sandy beach and provides a spacious, well-groomed holiday destination for couples only. We were there in August but the weather was great despite this being in their hurricane season. We stayed in a Mediterranean Walkout Club Level room which was spacious with a four poster bed, seating area and bathroom containing a large shower, separate whirlpool bath and toilet along with his and her sinks. The décor is a little dated and the mattress definitely needs replacing but otherwise the room was very comfortable. As an animal lover, I loved that the resort takes care of the local feline community by providing them with a cat café and as someone who usually gets badly bitten by mosquitoes, the fact that they would nightly 'fog' the resort with natural insect repellents was a god-send. The pools are lovely, set in beautiful gardens and the restaurants provided great food. This combined with Robert Mondavi wines as standard and full branded drinks package, the inclusive package is excellent. The staff were lovely and welcoming and a delight to be around and I would highly recommend this resort.

This was a nice property , the original side where we stayed was older but very clean and well kept , staff was excellent , food was good

Was awesome but no mint for mojitos or our ocean view room had no view except that of trees. Also nightly crickets very annoying.

Hotel nice but long waits

The hotel is nice and the beach beautiful.The staff can be very unwilling to wait on you or abrupt, unless managers are around. I was in the French coffee shop and the server said "what do you want" after not acknowledging me for 10 minutes. When a manager was present the staff would gush over you. I won't return.

Disappointing

Toilet broken, unable to access room with door key which they were unable to repair, air conditioning not working properly, very limited bar, lunch options poor, beds uncomfortable...day two and ready to leave. Sandals I thought had a better reputation.

Excellent service

Overall our experience was outstanding. The only draw backs we saw were 1) premium liquor such as Patron, was avaible. Most of the brands we had no heard of. 2) the matress in our room, although seemed of good quality, left us stiff every morning. Often with aches and pains severe enough to take pain medecine. Everyone was so friendly and made sure to say hello as they walked past. It was our first time at Sandals and we already cannot wait to plan our next trip!
