Awesome, laid back resort, right on the beach

Posted Oct 7, 2017
Pros: Staff is amazing, food was good, bar was always humming
Cons: Chef Pietro's needs to be upgraded, especially a different menu.
Location: Right on the beach, walking distance to Devil's Bridge. Quiet, secluded area.
This resort is one of the best in the Caribbean. Staff is the highlight, all are extremely friendly and welcoming and do all they can to make your stay amazing. Different activities going on each day, mostly in the afternoon with gym options in the morning. Take the morning walk, it is invigorating and gives you a nice view of the local area. Food in the buffet is really good and changes everyday and with every meal. There are staples that are there, but there is enough variety that you will not get bored and will be able to find what you like. The Pineapple Grill is great; Chef Pietro's needs a menu upgrade and needs to feel more high class compared to the buffet. Make a special visit to the Outhouse, so worth it for the food and the views. Rooms are comfortable and are not as bad as others claim.

Hurricane Irma

Posted Sep 10, 2017
The hotel: Right on the beach, rooms (many, but not all) recently refurbished to a high standard. Many food outlets to meet the varying needs of its guests, and a sizeable pool (and a quieter pool if you prefer). Activities and tours available. Thoroughly recommend it. Irma: During the final days of our stay (Sept 2017), Irma came to visit. Pineapple Beach was evacuated, and all guests, with all their belongings, were moved a very short distance to the Verandah resort, which is managed by the same group. Verandah was closed due maintenance, but re-opened at short notice to take these guests. Once Irma had passed, this did give me the time to consider the merits of both hotels, and with pina colada in hand, I have to say that the Pineapple Beach had a better beach, better restaurants, better views, and better rooms and was tidily compact whereas Verandah sprawled across a huge area, therefore relying on an internal "bus" (an electric buggy) to get around: The staff & management: Irma was exceptional, even for those that have experienced hurricanes before. My most lasting memory will not be any of the above. The measure of any company is how it reacts to adversity, and their concern for the safety and welfare of their staff and customers. This was exemplary, perhaps even too much so. They provided a service (meals / entertainment etc) which in my opinion exceeded the needs and requirements of the guests. I earnestly congratulate and thank them.

Close to the beach

Posted Aug 30, 2017
Overall the hotel is convenient. The beach is close. Plenty of beach chairs and very friendly and accommodating staff. There is snorkeling and water activities included which is all very nice. The food for me wasn't the best. Although breakfast was decent. I would have loved food that was more true to the island salt fish for breakfast plantains etc. At least some days. They had Italian night and Mexican night. Which was OK. The chefs were good if you needed something special made. We did see 1 roach and ants I was bitten by a few. Other than that I enjoyed my stay. The tub in my bathroom was peeling that wasn't the best but again overall it was a decent hotel.

Special in every way

Posted Aug 29, 2017
Pros: This is Adults Only, lovely rooms, a beach setting to die for and a resort that makes you feel you have reached paradise.
Cons: No
My wife and I stayed at Pineapple Beach Club in August, it is the kind of place that seems to different form the normal all-inclusive hotel, special in some way from the moment you arrive, the reception is very colonial, with dark furniture and big smiles from the staff, a very welcomed Rum Punch awaited us with cold towels, a couple of forms to fill in and we were taken away by a very interesting bell man called Tristan, super chap with great knowledge of the resort. Our room was a garden view, which was simple by design, with amazing view of the bay, and the beach was only 25 steps away, which is called Long Bay. There are two pools, fab activates, and a spa, which my wife said was one of the best treatments she ever had. The cocktails at the bar are delicious and they did not skim on the liquor..Kevin and Monique from the bar was so funny and engaging with all the guest. We ate in all the restaurants, the Out House, overlooking the sea has amazing ribs, chicken & salads, it really is a BBQ shack with cold beers from the cooler. All the food was amazing, our favourite was the Spaghetti Pasta with seafood in there Italian restaurant but everything was great & the service was to match, our waiter in pineapple was caring & funny, I think he was called Jason. Great Gym & tennis courts with a tennis pro, the water sports is excellent, Keith taught us both to sail a hobbie cat. We took one tour from the hotel, Calypso Cat, the crew blew us away & so did the Rum Punch.

Good hotel great beach

Posted Aug 5, 2017
Pros: Location and character were great.
Cons: Paintwork needs renewing; bathroom in our room needs upgrading and re-tiling, as well as removal of mould.
Location: The hotel is ideally situated for trips and beaches. We used local taxis for trips out which averaged at $30US each way - cheaper than hiring a car.
The hotel is a tad tired-looking and in need of some updating but overall, it was great. All the staff tripped over themselves to please us and could not have been better. We hope to return in the future.

Beautiful beach, nice hotel

Posted Jul 7, 2017 on Orbitz
It was a great vacation, very lovely staff. We are big meat eaters and thought there was a lack of meat during meals. Also, make sure you bring water bottles to refill as they do not provide any for the rooms. We thought there was lack of entertainment at night but could be we went off season. Food was good, snack bar's burger is amazing. Very clean beach, rooms are also very clean, just a bit outdated but nothing crazy. I would also suggest having bath robes for guests. I would recommend friends to stay at Pineapple Beach club for a very nice and relaxing worried free vacation. We also ended up doing stingray city and Sherly heights, amazing experience, the people from Antigua are extremely friendly.

Nice resort on a beautiful beach.

Posted Jul 4, 2017
Pros: Location, staff, grounds
Cons: Variety of food choices. Stayed less than a week and restaurants seemed to be redundant in food choices.
Location: Great secluded location with wonderful coastal and ocean views. Walking distance to Devil's Bridge National Park. Get taxi for anything else.
As expectations can hurt a trip, we came into the resort with an open mind. Pleasantly surprised by a warm & welcoming staff, and a beautiful waterfront room with a fantastic panoramic view of ocean and beach. All staff very knowledgeable about local sites and things to do and resort also offered various activities and entertainment. Grounds are beautiful and well kept, and Outhouse grill and hilltop gazebos offer wonderful views. Beach felt uncrowded and private.

The rooms and food service was great. If you are looking to relax with an older crowd this should be your choice. I was hoping for more activities to do

Great vacation

Posted May 16, 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: Small property with great beach!
Cons: Wifi should be included
Location: The location was on a great beach but far from town. We did two tours one to Barbuda on the Excellence and another to Monserrat.
Everything was great! Staff were very friendly. Drinks were good. Food was hit and miss but always something to eat somewhere trust me you won't go hungry! Beach was fabulous!
