Guy from the front desk was very professional and very accommodating! Cleaning ladies were very nice, quiet and quick. Hotel is centrally located and in a quiet area.

Very nice
One night stay. The hotel was nice and the reception staff were very helpful (allowing us early check-in). The room was nice. The only complaint is that the lock/catch on the toilet door was broken (it had been removed), so the door didn't stay closed.

Add Some More Room Lighting
I like the Mercure Antwerp City Centre hotel and this was my second time this year to visit. It's in a central location close to the train station and one can enjoy a lovely park across the street from the hotel. The breakfast is always good and the bar is nice. But I have one complaint: my room came this time with inadequate lighting. See photo of the only light for the bedroom space other than the pinpoint bed lighting. While this light is ok for the table beside it, it certainly does not help illuminate the room. As a result my room was gloomy, which is no help in winter.

The room was good it was very hot. I ask for a fan the fist day but the hotel didn't offer that. But the girl at the desk adjusted the temperature in the room to go cooler. The other two day was told they couldn't do that.🤔 The other thing we had to have the key reser everyday.

Friendly staff but lack of management system
We didn't realize that the hotel is under renovation, the staff was friendly but a few things can be improved. For example : the bag storage system, there was not a proper tag and ticket for the bag, it didn't feel secured although they locked the room but anyone can claim someone else bag, this is not very thoughtful. House keeper didn't refill the soup and shampoo in our room, it feels like there was lack of management. But room was a good size, and really good location, next to the park and quick 10 minutes walk to Antwerpen Central Station.

Under construction hotel but was nowhere mentioned , lot of basic amenities missing and when requested you will be charged. You would find much better hotels in the same price range. Better to avoid this hotel not at all worthy of 4 stars.

Definitely not a 4-star hotel. Noisy airco, dirty carpets, dirty wallpaper, toilet & drapes. No shoe polish kit. Only plus was the friendly staff.

Property was fine! But a very rude senior manager on check in. Not at all interested in helping customers with anything, behaves like he’s doing a favor checking guests in. He forgets that he’s in the service industry and a smile and being polite makes the difference.

Good location. I think it was relatively cheap, but not 100% sure as work did it. The facilities were a bit tired, and the bathroom pipes made the room smell. The impression I got was that although it didn't seem very busy, I was put in a low value back room, maybe because of the Wotif deal(?) or because it was a long stay(?), but it would have been nice to feel more valued given the length of time I was there.

City visit
We've stayed at the hotel many times and would recommend it for convenience to centre and overall comfort. We did ask for bed toppers to add more comfort to the beds and none were available but the beds were quite ok. Breakfast is really good and great value.The hotel is very close to the amazing railway station - a beautiful building and a rail network to be proud of.

The hotel is ideally situated and across the road of a sizable park.. The rooms were reasonably sized and the beds firm and comfortable. Unusual that the toiletries were squeeze bottles but they sufficed. Desk staff were helpful, smiling and spoke good English. Buffet breakfast was excellent including fresh orange juice ( a rarity). However, their restaurant proved to be disappointing one/two evenings , yet on the first night quite good. Chef ????? Who knows !!
