Great location…about 25 minute walk from Mechelen train station, and 10’minutes (the other direction) to the main square…with lots of shops along the way both directions

Nice hotel, tired in places, staff very attentive. Breakfast was good but a little pricey. Location within walking from rail station and great for the local cafe bars and shops.

Friendly Personnel
The staff are friendly and helpful. Specially the lady responsible for the breakfast buffet. When she knew i was on a hurry, she brought me a box and suggested that i take some food for the road. Also, the location is perfect, very near the city center.

Great location. This hotel is run down and 'maintenance challenged'. We had a slow draining sink and the shower wand kept on coming off in our hand. We had carpet in our room (not hardwood like in the pic here) that was old and could have used a GOOD cleaning. Hallway (on 5th floor) definitely smelled like stale smoke as another reviewer mentioned. Be prepared for the parking to be full (which is not something you really want to deal with when rolling in at midnight.) We ended up parking at the Indigo down the street.

Check-in and check-out went perfectly. Our bikes wete safely stored in the underground parking. Breakfast was good, the lady managing this was very efficient. The room was good, clean and tidy, nice view overlooking the streets below. Our only complaint was our neighbour with OCD in the adjacent room who was opening and closing the doors and switching the lights on and off for hours, but this was not a problem of the hotel.

Great hotel
Lovely place, nice quiet location. Breakfast was nice and the room was clean, big and spacious. Check in and out was easy. We used an underground parking lot a few mins away which cost 11 euro for our night stay.

Great location and good breakfast.
Very central, easy walk from the train station and good location to go out for dinner. The hotel is not especially charming, but a good option for a business trip. Good breakfast with plenty of choice and good quality.

NH Hotel in Mechelen
This is a great location. Many places to shop, eat, and treat. Not to mention the friendliness from staff here, as well as fellow vacationers. The rooms are decently sized and supplied with a mini fridge stocked with a variety of drinks (soda, juice, water, beer, and wine), an espresso machine (instructions on tray), and an electric kettle for tea (also on tray). Across from the large closet is a programmable safe and a supply of various snacks such as candy, chips, and wine. Prices are all listed on an itemized treat-sheet. There's a coat rack conveniently mounted near the door. I also like that the floor is not carpeted, it just seems cleaner than carpet. I would definitely stay here again should I return for another visit to Mechelen, without hesitation.

Combined business and leisure weekend stay. Hotel conveniently placed with easy access to the city. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Staff were very great and offered assistance with getting to local attractions

Op het eerste zicht leek het ons een fijn hotel. Maar schijn bedriegt. Aftands meubilair, loshangend behangpaper, vlekken op het tapijt en onze kamer was nogal aan de krappe kant. Nou ja, daar we toch hele dagen op stap waren met de wagen kunnen we daar nog enigszins mee leven. Op het internet staat te lezen dat het hotel over een eigen betalende parking beschikt. Maar 12.50 euro per dag vind ik van het goede te veel. En als uw wagen hoger is dan 1 meter 60 mag je het vergeten. Je kan niet binnen. We hadden dus geen andere keus dan een betaalparking te nemen. En wat blijkt? Dat is veel goedkoper! Tenminste als je veel weg bent met de wagen. Positief dan is het vriendelijke personeel (afgezien één man Adri aan de balie die eerder onbeschoft was). Ook snelle en gratis wifi wat in deze moderne tijd toch een must is. Onze complimenten voor de buffetdame die er helemaal alleen voor stond. Bijbenen was voor haar onmogelijk en dit door een aantal gasten die het zo nodig vonden – ik noem dit pure diefstal – om na het uitgebreide ontbijt nog van alles mee te nemen voor hun fietstochtje. Thermosflessen vullen, broodjes, fruit, etc. Geen wonder dat de ontbijtdame handen te kort kwam om alles bij te vullen. We hebben dit gemeld aan de balie dat we zoiets ontoelaatbaar vinden.

Location excellent - on the main street near the town centre. There is a supermarket nearby, & a cake shop! Reception staff really helpful & friendly, & fixed a minor problem with the room promptly. Breakfasts are on the first floor - a good choice is offered, and replenished as needed. On a Sunday breakfast is available till 12. The room did show signs of wear & tear, with some scuff marks on furniture & walls - a refurbishment would be helpful. (The other NH hotel I've stayed in was bigger & more business orientated) I'd certainly consider staying there again.

Cool, modern hotel in the historic heart of beautiful Mechelen. Room big, bed should win an award and the décor is pleasantly understated - perfect. Only small reservation is that the maximum vehicle height for the hotel car park is just 1.65 m, but there is a 2.0 m car park 100 m along the same street for fellow 4WD drivers.

Very friendly staff at Reception and for Breakfast. The rooms are tired (marked carpets, damaged elements to bathroom, dirty showerhead and curtain. On balance, a comfortable stay, but not the usual NH standard, other than the lovely staff.

Great location, friendly staff, comfortable room.
Friendly and helpful front desk staff, gave us helpful directions for overnight parking. Great location, nice area, close to restaurants and Grote Markt. The room was very comfortable, but the carpet was stained and worn and the decor needs updating. The room comfort overall was good. The breakfast was ample. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice but could be better
Nice enough hotel. Limited temperature control in the room and I had 1 light out and another that was flashing. The bed was a bit on the hard side, but I slept well regardless. The black-out curtains were nice. Wifi was sufficient, but a pet peeve of mine is the hotel wanting to charge for a faster connection.

Great location near the main square
Second time we have stayed at this hotel. It is so central being close to the main square. Mechelen is so pretty at Christmas time. The hotel staff are very friendly and efficient. Excellent breakfast served in a very pleasant room. Great to be able to park the car at the hotel and enjoy walking around the town without any hassle.
