Great location and access

Posted Sep 6, 2016
Pros: location, staff, cleanliness, breakfast!
Cons: I can read and speak Japanese so did not notice adequacy of English signs or English proficiency of staff.
Location: 10 min walk from Aomori train station and bus terminal, easy walking distance to major sights in city and stores and restaurants. CAn't beat all that.
Staff was really nice. Room is small (business hotel) but provided all basic amenities and clean and comfortable enough for two persons for one night. We chose it to be close to the Aomori train station for an early train ride out the next morning. Just 10 minute walk away. Staff was very kind to take our bags and placed them in our room at 11am before 300pm check in. We found a good sushi place just around the corner from the hotel (locals and Japanese tourists) and it is an easy walk from the hotel to the fish market, the Aomori products center (ASPAM) and other local sights. Also the main shopping street that stretches many blocks with stores and restaurants is also just steps away. And breakfast on the top floor with a view of the bay and cable bridge and an excellent selection of Japanese and Western foods (not yucky bagels or worse as in US business grade hotels) was a real bonus too. Great way to start the day.

Great value close to Aomori train station

Posted Apr 22, 2016
Pros: Location, close to train station and all of what Aomori has to offer: proximity to train station, eating establishments, sights, and shopping
Cons: Hotel facilities are a bit worn and could use an upgrade, but for the price, the hotel was very comfortable, large, and clean
Location: Location as in most of Japan was safe, walking distance to department stores, seafood food stalls, train station, and museums.
Very good service at front desk, with helpful staff who recommended excellent nearby sushi and local food establishments. Aomori is a small town. During non-festival periods, very laid back and assuming. They made visitors feel welcome, and we never had any trouble walking to famous sights nearby: ASPAM visitor center, Hakkoda Maru ferry museum, Wa Rasse Nebuta Museum. Eating establishments were not crowded, and you can get great sushi and seafood in this city, especially the local specialty, scallops harvested from bay nearby. It's a very easy train ride to the historical town of Hirosaki, known for its castle and cherry blossom viewing in late April.

You have to park blocks away and then pay an extra 10$ per person for breakfast

Just a few minutes walk to the train / bus station and some attractions. A typical small hotel room in Japan.

Convenient to Railway Station

Posted Jan 12, 2015
Comfortable and very clean, and easy walk (even in winter) from the railway station. The hotel is an ideal overnight stay while changing trains. Would stay here again.
