Great Location

The hotel is conveniently located along Avenue de Wagram in a quiet part of the city away from the crowds of tourists. It's a short walk from the Arc de Triomphe and within the block of the Wagram train station. There's a small supermarket right beside the hotel as well as a handful of eateries within a stone's throw away. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Those in the front desk are quite knowledgeable in giving helpful information for tours and for getting around. The waiter in the hotel restaurant is warm and welcoming as well. Rooms are cleaned regularly and very efficiently with towels and amenities replaced whenever needed. Stayed there with my wife and other friends for the Paris Marathon and was very happy with our stay. As the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, things get quite noisy by mid morning. This wasn't an issue for us, though, as we hardly stayed in the hotel during the day.

Air con did not work. they say that it is only to be switched on next month, on 1st May. How ridiculous.

Avoid "Secret hotels"

Location: A residential quarter. If you want to visit touristic Paris, you have to walk a lot from this hotel. A good point? the restaurant across the street
I had a hotel room booked in a 3x star hotel in La Madeleine area. 100EUR/night in a renovated, great location hotel. As it was possible to cancel with no penalties until a couple of days ahead of the check in, I was looking out to get a better hotel. I got one of those "Secret hotel" offers: a 4x star hotel in Champs Elysees area. I had to say I doubted to change my already booked room, but I finally canceled it and took the "Secret hotel" offer. I higly regret. The hotel is 20min walking from the Arch du Triumphe, and despite there is a subway station a block away, the connections of that line are poor. You will have to change a lot the subway line to get to touristic Paris. But the worst is the hotel itself, and expedia approach to my complains. I has not been renovated for decades. Expect a lobby cheaper than 1x star hotel in an isolated town. The rooms, despite are clean, are dark and the beds are single, just put together. And the facade is going thru maintanance. Of course I got a room with a view to the platform the workers were using. And I had a drill in my head starting 8am. No matter my complaints to expedia, even before my arrival -just look at the hotel website: it is as it looks. Absolutely not a 4x star hotel-, they declined to cancel the booking. And it was absolutely not an offer: the rack price in their website is what I paid thru expedia. Never, ever, take this cheaty offers.

Great hotel, esp for the price

Clean, comfortable, friendly staff. They upgraded my room for free w no problem, lent me an umbrella when it was raining & spoke English. Hotel is near metro station & is 15 min walk to Arc De Triomph / Champs Elysees

Very easy to travel to Paris st Lazaire 10 minute journey Bois colombes not a very clean or nice area

Le hotel de scaffolding

The hotel was basic and not really 4 star. Was comfortable enough & rooms were warm. Definitely a bit shabby though. Was good enough for us as we were out all day & the location was good

Terrible experience

I had a really bad experience in this hotel. When we arrived the hotel, and we were told the central heater was broken. They placed a portable electrical heater in the room. Since it is an old hotel, we got that. However, the portable heater did not work at all. Also, the WIFI did not work most of nights. We have to call the front desk to reset the modern. They told us the modern was really old. It did not work even after they reset. I made the reservation for 3 nights, then added one more night later. However, they misplaced the 2nd reservation. On the 4th day (while me and my family were out sightseen), they packed all our belongs without contacting us, then left all luggage in the storage. The staffs were rude. Stay away from this hotel!
