A real find.

We really enjoyed our stay in Woodhill House. The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful and the house is set in a lovely tranquil setting and only a short walk from the village. The food was so good we ate in both nights of our stay! Breakfast was great and served at the very guest-friendly hours of 9 - 11! It was the perfect base for touring a beautiful area. We will definitely be back.

Little gem in Donegal

Posted Dec 31, 2016 on Hotels
Great food in a remote hideaway. Staff were so friendly. Cosy fire in the bar and a lovely comfortable room In the refurbished stable block. Warm and with a door to the beautiful walled garden. Ardara is in the middle of the most beautiful part of Ireland and John gave us lots of information on where to go and what to do. Fantastic traditional music in the village. A perfect break post Christmas

Pros: Style, comfort, staff
Cons: Upgrade the TV ! Have marmite available for breakfast
Location: Well located near Donegal coast. Good base for exploring southern Donegal.
Very welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent bar and evening meal. I had a spacious room opening out to the rose garden.

traditional country house. full of memorabilia

Posted Nov 2, 2015
Pros: friendly staff, superb food.
Location: a 10 min walk downhill to the village. Spectacular scenery within a short drive.
The hotel was very quiet on arrival with a very friendly welcome. We were shown to a large room in the outside building. As it turned out, we were the only residents. The room was warm and cosy and very clean. We spent some time in the bar and had a fantastic meal. The menu was varied with plenty of choice. Several diners from the village dined. Comfortable beds and an excellent breakfast rounded off a pleasant stay.
