Not impressed at all. Arrived at 7.50pm to be told that the kitchen was closed and we couldn't get anything to eat. So after a 300 mile drive, we then had to drive into town to find somewhere else

Solid affordable overnight motel-style stay.
We have stayed at several Campaniles on this March 2019 music tour and this was the best so far. Bed firm but comfortable. Room clean. Check in after reception hours went smoothly (you need to call Campaniles in general if you plan to check in late). Nothing fancy here - similar to a classsic US motel with room access to outside. But quiet, nicely wooded property. Affordable, pleasant, consistent - exactly what you need on the road. Small but functional room, good heat and hot water. Euro shower head clip was broken - I improvised with a rubber band - but that was my only complaint - booked 4 rooms this night other 3 were intact. Good affordable no frills overnight stay. Restaurants usually solid and affordable at Campaniles - but we did not eat here.

Quiet budget hotel close to the motorway
The location of the hotel is ideal if you’re passing through Sedan. The breakfast is lovely and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful. However, while the hotel looks modern from the outside, the rooms are in needs of a structural renovation which a modern bed etc simply cannot disguise. The hotel is truly 2 star and not a Novotel on the cheap.

Great value hotel but disorganised room preparati
We were looking forward to enjoying a more updated campanile hotel on our long journey home. The booking supposedly was from 3pm arrived after a very hot day of travelling in full motorcycle gear to be told our accommodation wouldn't be ready until 4pm. Luckily found a shady spot outside to attempt to cool off but really all we wanted was an air conditioned room and a shower! 4.15pm our room was still being cleaned. ...The door was open we let ourselves in. Ok it had a couple of minor things that needed doing (only 1 cup for a drink but the main things were in order) but we just wanted to get out of our heavy hot motorcycle gear. We were then disturbed so they could mop the floor. Fine....let that go and then at 4.45pm I just wanted to shower. Locked the door and did just that! Afterwards luckily laid on the bed cooling off (covered by our towels phew! ) ...and a knock again on the door. No time to get to it and the door was opened by a cleaner! She quickly closed the door to allow hubby to put some clothing on before opening the door as she then passed on clean beakers for the bathroom (we had some already! )..and on it went. Cups for hot drinks next! Accommodation and area are great; the staff were polite....but the organisation of actually having your room ready? not good at all! My booking was for 3 separate rooms and we all had similar issues.

Great hotel
Plenty of secure parking for our motorbikes, gate locked overnight. Friendly, clean with an excellent breakfast. Staff polite and helpful. A bit stretched at dinner, but food was good. Very good value for money.

Exactly what i needed.Clean room,quiet area,good service and as a bonus they have coffee and tea in the room in case you need to work on your laptop inside or something. It was a good ezperience and i recomend it.

A hotel which has listened to what people want
After a long day's drive to the ferry in Dover and then from Calais to Sedan, this hotel ticked almost all the boxes for us. It was easy to find (with sat nav) just off the motorway yet located in a quiet setting surrounded by trees and shrubs.We had a decent sized room with an extremely comfortable king sized bed - we have stayed in 4 hotels during our trip since, some of them double the price, and it has been the best bed to date.There is a good hair dryer in the bathroom, sensible shower gel and soap dispensers instead of silly little sachets and a good, big shower with detachable showerhead if you don't want to get your hair wet. A big useful desk occupies the window wall, equipped with a kettle and supplies for making hot drinks, which is unusual in French hotels. The flat screen TV on the wall had an excellent picture and goo range of channels. The bar with terrace was reasonable and relaxing after the drive, and we were lucky to have warm evening sunshine to sit out and enjoy over a beer. The reasonably priced meal in the restaurant was good, if not cordon bleu, and service there and at reception was pleasant and helpful. The only negative point was having to carry bags up to the first floor, as there is no lift and the rooms are accessed by an outside balcony corridor.

Average to poor bedrooms but a good restaurant which is obviously relatively new and in a separate building. We used it for an overnoght stay on a journey to Alsace and it served that purpose.

This hotel was nice and clean and the staff, albeit through a language barrier, were pleasant enough. My big grumble would be that the breakfast was scheduled to run until 10am and on more than one occasion the staff let certain food items run empty up to an hour before the scheduled end of breakfast service. I had to request a top up at least once on every breakfast we had. At one point they let the ham, cheese and bread run out by 9:30 am. Even less happy once we deduced that we were actually paying for the lack lustre breakfasts instead of them being complimentary like we thought they'd be.
