After a long day's drive to the ferry in Dover and then from Calais to Sedan, this hotel ticked almost all the boxes for us. It was easy to find (with sat nav) just off the motorway yet located in a quiet setting surrounded by trees and shrubs. We had a decent sized room with an extremely comfortable king sized bed - we have stayed in 4 hotels during our trip since, some of them double the price, and it has been the best bed to date. There is a good hair dryer in the bathroom, sensible shower gel and soap dispensers instead of silly little sachets and a good, big shower with detachable showerhead if you don't want to get your hair wet. A big useful desk occupies the window wall, equipped with a kettle and supplies for making hot drinks, which is unusual in French hotels. The flat screen TV on the wall had an excellent picture and goo range of channels. The bar with terrace was reasonable and relaxing after the drive, and we were lucky to have warm evening sunshine to sit out and enjoy over a beer. The reasonably priced meal in the restaurant was good, if not cordon bleu, and service there and at reception was pleasant and helpful. The only negative point was having to carry bags up to the first floor, as there is no lift and the rooms are accessed by an outside balcony corridor.
