Only affordable option in Sulphur

Posted Jul 6, 2015
If there was another option in town, besides at the casino, I would not stay at this Super 8. The staff is not very friendly, and I felt like I was taking up their time when I spoke with them. The room was fairly clean, although the carpet was stained. There is only one narrow staircase to the second floor, except for the emergency exits.

Great low price, close to event...

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Great quality at a low price... Comfortable bed and a nicely cleaned room...
Cons: Nothing needs improvement; all of our needs were met...
Location: Great location; close to my running event and Restaurants to choose from...
The price was very good, not too expensive for us... The bed was very comfortable, room was very clean; all of our needs were met... The Hotel was close to "The State Games of Oklahoma" Track & Field Events, that took place at the "Sulphur High School Track"... Also, there were a lot of good "Restaurants", close to us...

Sufficient Hotel

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Inexpensive, and not too far from the Artesian Casino.
Cons: Almost everything about the hotel can stand improvement. Very old and outdated.
Location: Location is great. Close to Chickasaw Recreation Area and Artesian Casino. Fast-food restaurants close-by.
This is a very old hotel, pretty run-down. The room was clean, but very dismal. I was pleasantly surprised to find a microwave and fridge in the room. I was disappointed with all the signs in the breakfast room that said "Do not take breakfast items to room". In other hotels I have always gone to get my breakfast and taken it back to my room to eat when I'm actually ready for it. Since breakfast hours are over at 9:00 a.m. it is not easy for me to be up and around that early when I'm on vacation.

I would give it a five star if they had real orange juice and fresh fruit for breakfast.

Awful

Posted Feb 10, 2015
When I got to my room there was a mouse trap on the table between the beds with cheese in it. When I asked about the mouse trap the man at the counter said the maid must not have seen it. I said it's in plain view how did they miss it. It was a nasty room. I'll never stay at a super 8 again

Cheapest choice in Sulphur

Posted Nov 28, 2014
Pros: Beds
Cons: cleanliness of facility, overpriced for what is offered.
Location: Nice Mexican rest. across parking lot, "Poor Girls Cafe" to E of hotel has large choice selection, large portions, low price. Both busy with locals.
Beds were surprisingly comfortable, otherwise mediocre facility at $80 per night mid-week stay.

Nice place to Stay in Sulpher

Posted Oct 11, 2014
Location: Chickasaw National Recreation Area, Chickasaw Culture Center, and two nice restaurants next door to the hotel.
Room was clean, beds ok, pillow needed replaced. The breakfast was minimal.
