I would like to explain your experience. We explained it to you and you were able to verify it from your own experience here. Arenal Country Inn is a big garden, with a forest on two sides of the property and even a river edge on the third one. Although we keep fumigation around the rooms all the time; there is no way we can prevent some earthworms (the very small and hard ones) from sometimes entering some rooms when it is raining a lot. We are clear that is not nice; but it is part of the idea of coexisting with other species on earth and/or, maybe, taking the decision of only building and staying in cities where we, humans, have extinguished most of the other fauna species.Thanks for staying at Arenal Country Inn.

You are right about the fridge: it is not new, although it works perfectly. As part of our ongoing maintenance program, they will be changed next year (2024). As per the worm we went and took out of the floor in your room, let me explain to whoever reads this message that it was an earthworm that leaves in the gardens and feeds itself from the same gardens' organic waste. We have exotic gardens surrounding the rooms, so these earthworms may come inside when we leave the doors open. We keep the rooms impeccably clean and fumigate them regularly, unfortunately, the only way to prevent this kind of situation will be to cement the whole place (this will be losing the character of the whole place).
