The bathroom in the room need renovation since it not functional and extremely old. Also don't expect hot water for your shower between 10AM and 4pm since they shut it down during that time. It also a little bit noisy due that you are on the corner two major roads. So overall if I had to go back to La Fortuna I would choose another hotel.

Downtown central location, not a lot of amenities, but you are welcome to use the pool at a sister property about 3 blocks away which was nice! Ignacio, Joy, and Diane were all great at the front desk! Ignacio took a lot of his time to help me book an ziplines excursion, and Diane helped me call the shuttle company when my shuttle was late. Great people, would definitely return!

Great location in this city. Can use updating. Didn’t like the rodent I heard in the walls as I was trying to sleep. The front desk did allow a room change.

Excellent location
Hotel was well situated and in walking distance of everything in La Fortuna. The room was comfortable but basic with small tv only showing Spanish channels. Wifi was free but spotty.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Despite the room having air conditioner the window would not open preventing air circulation. The staff are kindly.

Room window next to busy street
The staff and location were great. However our room was located on a busy street and I was kept up at night by the sounds of loud traffic. You you could ensure you did not stay in a room like this, you may have a better experience.

I paid for basic accommodations and that's what I got; except for the first day when the whole hotel was without AC. At least it seemed to be a rare occurrence.

Helpful and informative
Helpful and friendly front desk staff, concierge was very informed and helpful. They made suggestions based on what we wanted to do versus promoting spots that they had deals with. Definitely recommend based on the service and the room did the trick for one night stay.

Check in was at 2pm but we were given our rooms at 3:15pm, as they weren’t ready upon our arrival. It is a good hotel but its location makes it a little noisy, having 2 main La Fortuna streets surrounding it.

Excellent location!
Excellent location and having a restaurant for breakfast was convenient. New staff were in training but did a great job for being new. Waitress was superb! Noise from restaunt chairs dragging at night can be annoying if you are a light sleeper. I would stay again.

I liked how they helped us out with a booking error their system had, they relocated us to a more expensive place for the same price, only that it was far from the main town and did not offer food at any hour so we spent money going back and forth.

Good hotel in a good area
Short get away near Arenal. Very nice hotel at a reasonable price. Checkout can be hectic because only one clerk working. Will definitely be stay here again.

Just to sleep - nothing more or less.
The customer service is not good. At one point reception desk made a mistake, apologized, didn't try to accommodate their mistake and say its "high season." They know they are cheaper than the hotels down the strip, approximately $100 a night so people will stay here anyways. If you are looking for a hotel cheaper than the rest then this is the spot to be since its in the central downtown area. If you expect customer service then forget it. We received our key and someone was already inside the room and stated it was their mistake. There was no soap or towel we had to request that as well. Unfortunately I stayed here for 2 nights because this is a place just to sleep, cheaper than rest of hotels. Nothing special or more about this place.

We had 2 deluxe rooms and a standard room. The deluxe rooms were very nice, the standard room was very small, all lacked furniture, dressers, tables, & closets. Bathrooms were very nice in all 3 rooms. Breakfast was great! As was the staff.

This is a really nice hotel at this price point. Great lobby and bar. The rooms are neat and quiet. Staff is super friendly and helpful. La Fortuna is a beautiful little town. There are a few things they could improve on. The shower curtains are difficult to close so that water does not run all over the floor. The room door locks are tricky until you get some practice. The AC did not really work, but did not care as it was not very hot. I was told the same company owns the Arenal Hostile a few blocks away. The building has the same green color and they have private rooms, and upgraded rooms as well. That might be another good option to Hotel La Fortuna, which is overall a great place.

Clean comfortable room. Price was reasonable. Location was excellent, right in the middle of town near several good restaurants. The hotel offered a discount package to the Baldi Hot Springs which we bought for $45 each including dinner. Other reviews complained about noise, but that was never an issue for us. We were on the 5th floor and had a great view of the volcano, but unfortunately with the fog, we never saw the top 2/3 of the mountain.

Great Hotel
Our stay was awesome. Even though they didn’t have our reservation on file the night we arrived they still accommodated us with a room. The next morning it was all resolved. The view was stunning! We had a direct balcony view of Arenal Volcano and the city. Breakfast was also amazing! This is a great spot to visit La Fortuna because you are able to walk around and be part of the city with the locals. Tour buses also pick you up at the hotel which is great. Overall it was a great experience, we are definitely coming back to La Fortuna and staying at Hotel La Fortuna.

Hotel La Fortuna is a very basic sort of place but it is clean, located centrally downtown and was a good value. We got a decent breakfast, and the staff was very helpful in organizing shuttles etc.

Hotel La Fortuna
We have been to La Fortuna 4 times but stayed out of the Town up closer to the volcano. This is the first time we stayed in the town of La Fortuna and we stayed at the hotel La Fortuna. The hotel is centrally located it was very clean and no frills for $50 a night. Some of the rooms have a view of arenal volcano so be sure to request that. The front desk people were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay there again.

Hotel of choice
Just remodeled, great location, walking distance to many great restaurants and tour offices. Missed a blow dryer so bring one, although they have one at the desk. This is our second stay and will be our hotel choice when we visit again. AND can't beat the room rate with this value..

We had a lovely stay in this hotel the staff were fantastic and helpful always smiling our room was perfect and the shower was the best in Costa Rica we were lucky our room had a big window others didn’t so we were very lucky as we couldn’t stay without one !
