Beautiful, tropical hotelPosted Jun 3, 2015
Pros: the stand alone cabin-style rooms surrounded by lush tropical plants really made you feel like you were living in the rain forest
Cons: window coverings
Location: a little far from town-it is not possible to walk to anything to do
Pros: gorgeous lobby and grounds, spacious rooms with huge shower, amazing and helpful staff, bottled water/coffee/tea available in lobby, Cons: some window blinds in room were broken and see through, hot springs not always available, far from town ($8 taxi if hotel driver or $12 red taxi each way), safe in room is key not combination ***I can't say enough about the wonderful staff at this hotel. They were instrumental in recovering my lost camera, they walked to our room in the rain when a tour company had arrived to pick us up, they fed us breakfast before the dining room opened because we had an early tour, and always had great advice. I only wish they had warned me that when you call a taxi from town to bring you back it is $12 not $8.

sleeping in the rainforestPosted May 15, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The rooms were clean and all the staff was very friendly. The best part about this hotel is the grounds. They are so beautiful and peaceful. As you lay in bed you hear all the noises of the rainforest. The breakfast was the good, a typical Costa Rican dish. We tried to go in the hot mineral pool they had but unfortunately it was cold. This hotel is about 10 mins out of La Fortuna so having a rental car would be best.

Stay in Costa Rica at KokoroPosted May 8, 2015
Pros: Great service, and a quiet place to relax after a hard day are the best points.
Cons: Softer Pillows, and maybe some newer board games in the lobby area for people.
Location: Near by to everything you want to do. Rafting, tubing, hiking, sight seeing, horse back riding, coffee, chocolate, sugar cane tours, ATV's, canyoning
Was above great in helping us out. Great value for the price if your looking for a place to just sleep, occasionally go in the pool, and enjoy a relaxing dip in the hot spring after a long day of excursions. Like I mentioned above the real value is being so close to a lot of great excursions that will pick you up and drop you off for free. We did canyoning, tubing, rafting, a safari trip, atv trip, horse back riding, a chocolate tour, and a spa visit. They all had free transportation service available when you set excursion up through other dealers or with the lobby staff. When you get back you can already have a meal set up for you if you set it up with the hotel. They can prepare it from their own kitchen or if you want something different they will order it from a nearby restaurant free of charge on their part, but small fee for the delivery on the restaurants part. They set up a private shuttle for us to San Jose, an early flight that we had to leave at 4:15 they had the shuttle driver their early with coffee and juice for us. Great staff, very big rooms. and a great shower room to clean up at the end of the night. It is an ecolodge so they are environmentally friendly, and grow some produce on sight including pineapple.

Nice stay in the jungle. Not too far from town, close to all the adventure activities.
