Absolutely incredible!

If you stay in the hotel you have exclusive access to an 18 & over portion (with a bar) of the Tacacon Thermal Spa which is the most relaxing and special experiences one could have!

Como llegar a un Paraiso

Posted Nov 18, 2015
100% recomendable

awesome in Costa Rica

Posted Nov 16, 2015
Pros: EVERYTHING- clean, modern, attentive staff, great meals, attention to detail is the main thing we observed.
Cons: Nothing at all- wish they had another one in Florida
Location: Its pretty far from San Jose, traveling there was a pain, too many curvy hills and passed a few small towns.
Went to Costa Rica to see the volcanos and hanging bridges, after such an exhausting day we went to our hotel named Tabacon, WOW what a room, modern, gorgeous, the staff was absolutely delightful then we went the Grand Tabacon Spa, this was truly amazing, the hot springs and thermal waterfalls took every knot and pain away, staff again was awesome, we had a snack at the restaurant at the Spa and food was very good. back to the water for extra R&R. Returned to hotel prepared for Dinner. They picked us up in a golf cart in front of my room and took us to the hotels premier restaurant, good wine, great meal, awesome service. The staff took us back to our room, my wife and I were absolutely relaxed and fed, the bed very comfortable and checkout was a breeze, I totally recommend this hotel and spa experience to anyone.

El mejor Hotel para Aguas Termales de Costa Rica

Posted Nov 3, 2015 on Hotels

Not worth the money!

Posted Oct 28, 2015
It's pretty here and the hot springs are great BUT we had high expectations and had a low return in expierance. The food was terrible and prices outrageous. The desserts look pretty but taste aweful. There's no where around Tabacon to venture to unless you rented your own car. We stayed at Volcano lodge prior for 70$ and would have rather of stayed there and just come over to the hot springs for the day. Or better yet check out the Springs resort. We stayed at Peace Lodge (the Springs sister resort) after Tabacon and it was amazing. For the same price we paid at Tabacon with a basic room we had a balcony with a hot tub and a crazy view. So it was dissapointing and felt like we would have skipped Tabacon and spent the money bettrer elsewhere. If you just want to have a massage and enjoy the Springs then you will like Tabacon, but it wasn't for me. The rooms were basic and our "patio" wasn't even possible to use. Construction was going on and very loud. We paid about 300$ a night and had better experiences by far in other parts of Costa Rica for less. So by far this was my least likely of place to refer someone. My only advice is just to enjoy a day pass to see the hot springs.
