Stay spoiled by a rain water leak and wet floor.

Posted Mar 23, 2017
Pros: Location. All other aspects of our stay were pleasing. Restaurant staff were very attentive.
Cons: See above.
Although finally corrected by the hotel after a requested room relocation, (and a welcome upgrade), when we arrived, there was evidence of a pre-existing water leak into the allocated room and across the carpet. After two nights, further rain, and a failed attempt at repair, this was bad enough to result in a soggy wet carpet, wet feet, and the room's atmosphere becoming very damp. The room should not have been let in this condition.

Likewise, I assure you that I have shared your comments with our Maintenance team to fix any fault. I do apologize if you perceived that our team did not attend you properly. I certainly understand your discomfort so I would be grateful to receive another opportunity to welcome you back at our Hotel. Sincerely César Díaz Hotel Manager

Good location

Posted Mar 10, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Doors could be closed and modifications made to make common areas warmer. The wind whistles through the common area- we found it impossible to linger
Location: All of the main attractions are within walking distance
Spent 4 nights. Good location close to main attractions but hotel was very cold.

Very nice stay

Posted Feb 23, 2017 on Orbitz
The hotel has an old-time-charm stone building area and a modern-time building. We have stayed on the gorund floor at the thick-stone wall building area. The room has the beauty of the craft of stone masonry. Its was a very nice stay. It's clean, spacious. We probably have arrived at a low season. The rate per night for the most expensive room was less than $200. The stuffs were very helpful.

Outstanding historic hotel with awesome location

Posted Jan 1, 2017 on Hotels
We loved our stay in this hotel. It is a beautiful unique hotel with stunning historic architecture. At night, we loved sitting in the lobby which is the courtyard to the original home. I liked staying in the light airy modern rooms attached to the historic structure. The staff were always so friendly and helpful. The couch in our room had seen better days and needs to be changed our. It looked dirty. The breakfast buffet is plentiful but the food is mediocre. I recommend eating the traditional Peruvian dish of the day for the best flavor. Also they often ran out of food and didn't replenish it for 15 to 30 minutes. Those two critiques don't change my enthusiasm for the hotel. If i come back, I will stay here again.

Public areas of the hotel were beautiful, but the standard rooms were a bit poky. The charged for Internet access and bottled water was too high and though it didn't bother us, the lift did not work for four days which may have been difficult for some guests.

one thing

Posted Dec 22, 2016
Good location, very elegant place steeped in history. The one major quibble is that a hotel of this stature stoops to nickel and diming. Ten soles for a bottle of water in the room. 35 soles a day to have internet in the room. Felt petty. Staff was friendly but not super knowledgeable about the city and environs

No free Wi-Fi in rooms. Otherwise very nice.

Posted Dec 2, 2016 on Hotels
Nice hotel in the heart of Arequipa. Only complaint is that Wi-Fi is free only in the lobby. The hotels.com site includes it under "free Wi-Fi hotels" in their filters. There are other hotels nearby that include Wi-Fi everywhere for a similar price and quality.

Great hotel

Posted Oct 7, 2016 on Hotels
The hotel is very nice. Our tour guide said on several occasions, you've picked the best hotel in town; and I suspect he was correct. Lovely building, very comfortable rooms, helpful staff and centrally located. Breakfast was good and the service was of a high standard. Could fault it.
