Aging hotel with emphasis on tour groups
Posted Aug 4, 2014
This hotel is about 10 years overdue for a renovation. We stayed on the top floor (executive level) and had carpet that was really ancient/dirty and a shower curtain rod that was about to fall off at any moment. While it is convenient to town (about 2.5 km), it isn't in town so you have to take a car whenever you want to get to Nafplio. Additionally, the emphasis is all about the tour groups, with a sprawling breakfast place with good food (the best part of the hotel if you can deal with all the multitudes of folks around).
The beds were uncomfortable and lumpy and the pillows weren't all that comfortable either. Our room was presumably two beds, but my son's bed was simply a rollaway with a rock hard mattress.
This could be a wonderful hotel if they were to renovate it and get some decent mattresses, but I doubt that is going to happen soon.
