Good value hotel in central location

Posted Aug 14, 2017
Pros: Great location, good facilities, easy-going.
Cons: Put tea and coffee-making facilities in the rooms.
Location: Arles is a must-see town, there is masses to see, do and eat in the town and it's a great base for exploring the region.
I had requested a balcony and got an entire roof terrace which was amazing (unfortunately we got there in the middle of a heat wave so couldn't use it, but that was hardly the hotel's fault.) The bathroom was upstairs which was fun, if not entirely convenient and the room was nicely equipped. The hotel has a lovely garden with plenty of shade and a completely unstuffy counter-service cafe / restaurant doing breakfast and light meals. The 'spa' is really just a huge Jacuzzi and steam room, which didn't seem to be working when we tried it, but the Jacuzzi was a most welcome treat after a long day walking in hot sun. The parking arrangements were a little complicated at first but once we'd worked them out we were very grateful to have guaranteed parking as Arles is incredibly busy during the summer.

If I return to Arles, I definitely will stay here

Pros: Location and laundry.
Cons: A rather limited choice of beers in their snack bar.
Location: They are between the theater and amphitheater, everything is close by. The shuttle bus for the museum and train station is 10 feet from their entran.
As one would expect the room and bathroom were very clean. For someone who travels alone, their snack bar provided a sufficient dinner. And very very nice for me, for 10 euros they will launder a plastic bag full of dirty close. No charge per piece! Whoever did the laundry did a really nice job for me.

Incredible location!

Posted May 9, 2017
Pros: STAFF! Room heating system excellent and modern. LOCATION. Walk to all old city sites in 15 mins or less.
Cons: Towels thin and not the best.
Location: Less than one minute walk to arena, ancient theater ruins and city park. Easy to follow Van Gogh "trail." 5-10 minutes' wto most other important site.
Location adjacent to the ancient arena and theater couldn't be better. However, parking at hotel is very limited and expensive ( 1 E for 30 mins, max 20 E per day). Less expensive option is to drop off bags at hotel or nearby and park bottom of hill in public parking area at 12E per day. Room small but clean and nicely updated (even has USB ports next to bed). Our bath was very modern and small with shower only. Staff wonderful and English speaking. Breakfast a good value, garden and inside dining areas outstanding! Small cafe inside has some breakfast items and sandwiches. Has a SPA but we did not use. Would definitely stay here again for location and value.

Honeymoon in heaven

We stayed here 2 nights on a (too brief) visit to Arles. The staff was warm and accommodating. Our room was a beautiful, light, airy space with a terrace. We had incredible views of the amphitheater. The garden on he main floor was a serene spot.

Pros: Location, breakfast
Cons: WiFi
Location: Right in the center of Arlos' historical center. Also well located for those interested in exploring Provence by car.
Well located hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast, rooms are okay, WiFi is unreliable

Room with a View!

Posted Mar 30, 2017
We loved our stay at Le Calendal. Since we were traveling with our son we chose a triple room. To our surprise the room was spacious but most importantly facing the amphitheater! There was also a terrace with small table to sit outside but no matter where you stood in the room you saw it just right! Another great plus of Le Calendar was the lovely garden - with its background spa music filling the air with peace and harmony. We had our breakfast out there and just loved it! We would recommend this lovely hotel hands down.

My wife and I stay in a room with balcony. From here we can see the old town Arena. It is one of best view in the hotel. Hotel staff is extremely friendly. They show us the parking lot and take us there. Location is very convience. We have a good time.
