4/5 Good

Nice Place
Cute house, great location. Lots to do around Arnold and Murphys. Some interior spider webs, but other than that very clean.

2/5 Poor

Horrible stay on a busy street with no AC
Temps in Arnold were hot the time we were there. This house has no ventilation and was just as hot as it was outside. Beds were hard and not comfortable. Overall not a pleasant stay. On a busy street with lots of speeders. Traffic noise is loud especially with the windows open.

2/5 Poor

Great location and very clean. Maintenance issues were a huge problem.
We were very happy upon arrival-no problems getting in, the house was much cleaner than expected and house was well equipped for our stay. It was a great location and very kind neighbors. We knew the house was older and on septic and since myself and all other guests (parents and grandmother) live in homes with septic, we figured we’d need to be careful with water use, garbage disposal, etc so we pretended like we were camping and didn’t shower everyday. We arrived late Friday and by early Sunday morning, the greywater and food sent down disposal had backed up into the shower and almost overflowed. We called property management right away and they sent maintenance out. Really nice guy but was unable to fix it. Once that happened, we limited our water use even more and by that night, the grey water had overflowed onto the bathroom floor. We called again and were told there was nothing they could do even though every time we flushed the toilet, ran water in any way, the water would overflow more. The property management also told us that even if it could be fixed, they have no access to 24 hour emergency maintenance (it was almost 11pm when we noticed the bathroom floor had flooded. Unfortunately my grandmother couldn’t go up the stairs so she was forced to use the highly unsanitary downstairs bathroom. We were told we’d get a call today (the day of our checkout) about the maintenance problem and because we asked about potential compensation since a backed up septic caused all things in the home that involves drainage (dishwasher/showers/toilets/any running water/washer) to not work properly. We understand the home is old so it’s expected that there will be problems, but septic issues affect every aspect of the stay and we definitely didn’t expect that. We will update review if/when we hear back from property management. If no problems arise, I’d highly recommend the house for the location and cleanliness but because of all this, we do not recommend staying there. We’ve stayed at other vacation homes before that had maintenance problems (3 others to be exact) and they all had access to emergency maintenance except for this one.

2/5 Poor

Not well equipped, loud
The house is dated but well kept and clean. However, we had to go to the store for toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags as the house was not equipped. The worse part was the noise, there was construction on the property immediately behind from 8am to 5pm which was extremely loud. We where unable to rest or have any time outside due to the noise. It ruined our ‘quite’ mountain get away.

5/5 Excellent

Nice getaway
The house was extremely clean. It is just as pictured. Easy to get to and a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed our short stay!
