Cheap and convenient

Posted Oct 10, 2016 on Hotels
This is a cheap place to stay, great location. I chose it because it was just 50 minutes, toll free from Eurotunnel. For £28 per night and they accept dogs, I'm happy with a basic room. The reception was friendly and the sheets were clean. This was my second stay. This time the room smelt of cigarette smoke, but it's a cheap hotel! If you want perfection, pay more!

cheap and cheerful

Stayed here for one night before returning to the UK. Very cheap and we had a good night's sleep. Don't expect five star facilities for this money though and you'll enjoy your stay as long as you remain realistic.

Nice clean quiet hotel room.

Pros: Nice clean quiet hotel room.
Location: Far away from the ferry ports of Calais and Dunkirk. Ok for people with vehicles but long trek for the backpacker on foot.
Just needed a bed for the night and our room 205 was adequate. It was clean and the toilet facilities worked and were clean. The car park was nice too. The Wifi worked too. This hotel was cheap and 40 mins drive away from the ports for the ferries. A drive into the village for food was OK but they close early - 2130 hrs. Village life! There is no lift to the floors. Had to climb two floors on the stairs. Didn't like the clutter of people at the entrance of the hotel, all smoking.

This is a low cost hotel in an industrial area just off the main roads. despite the low cost, the room was clean and comfortable and less than £10 per head,

Poor plumbing

Posted Mar 16, 2016
Pros: Super easy to find the hotel WITHOUT a Satnav, unlike many Ibis ones.
Cons: Plumbing - fix it
Location: A good compromise location between the WW1 battlefields and the channel tunnel
Arrived tired after a 400km drive to find there was no water in the bathroom sink. However the receptionist was able to fix it - credit to her as she wasn't a plumber.

Budget overnight stop on the outskirts of Arques.

Arrived late on in the evening & the welcome from the reception & pleasant staff made the overnight stay a good one. Clean spacious room with good clean bedding. The light continental breakfast was adequate & set us up for the day. Stayed at this Hotel some years ago & this visit was better than the previous one. Reassured by the overnight 24 hour reception attendance, which is a security bonus.
