We will return.Posted Sep 10, 2015
Pros: Everything. Low rise. Well maintained. Nice and quiet. Feels like home. Close to the beach, bus station, grocery store. Amazing restaurants on site.
Cons: Nothing really.
Location: Excellent location. 10 minutes to airport. Bus station across the street. Beach across the street. Many restaurants and bars close by.
This is an amazing low rise hotel. Nice and quiet exactly what we wanted. It was our first time staying here and we loved every minute of our stay. We feel fully recharged and happy. Loved our room 102A. Easy check in. Amazing amazing staff. I do not want to name any of them individually because ALL of them were very nice and accommodating. Amazing beach. Amazing sunsets. Never any shortage of towels or sun beds. Plenty of shade. There are two restaurants and bars on site Mangos and Passion on the beach. All of them have excellent food and drinks. Buffet breakfasts are excellent. Price seemed high initially but the breakfast was amazing so we decided to have breakfast every day. We had lunch and dinner and drinks at the two restaurants and bars in the hotel. We will return soon.

Could have been a "gem"...Posted Sep 7, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness, so close to the beach. They offer 2 bedrooms to enable a family space and comfort. Quiet
Cons: Only the constant smell of sewer
Location: In the quiet area, near mini marts and quick bites. Across the street to beach but much closer walk than being in a high rise!
Would have loved this hotel and location had it not been for a constant "sewer" smell surrounding the entire hotel and beach area. The smell would hit anytime after 11am or 12pm and come and go for the rest of the evening. (no one else seemed to noticed, I only heard one other person (the entire week), at the beach ask her friend "what that horrible reek was")? I guess I have a heightened sense of smell but I couldn't possibly enjoy any meal there so I did not eat at Passions but my husband finally convinced me to try Mangos one evening after an exhausting day on Palm Island with my kids. We constantly got whiffs of unpleasantness and I especially could not wait to end the meal. (Again, no one around us seemed to mind), so weird! (Even my husband would get mad at me for constantly scrunching my nose or mentioning it).

Hotel near the beachPosted Sep 2, 2015
In terms of room quality and house keeping, I would rate it top notch! I was disappointed with our checking in experience. They charged me a $300.00 deposit twice - tying up $600.00 and did NOTHING to compensate this trouble. They said I have to call my bank to settle it. Maybe offer an excursion or two since you're holding my excursion money???

Great location, beautiful sea, wonderful vacationPosted Sep 1, 2015
Pros: location, room, beach, water, hotel condition, room is quiet and has a central air conditioner, room has a balcony with a beautiful view of the sea.
Cons: clean shower floor, bathroom floor, make sure shower head does not have mold, include cheaper meal dishes at Mango and Passion restaurants for lunch
Location: on the beach, Eagle beach is the most beautiful in Aruba, private, not so many people, near big supermarket
Great location, very beautiful and well maintained hotel. Nice quiet room with a balcony and beautiful view. Bedding is OK, mostly clean, however, once we had to ask for it to be changed (right after the service) as it looked old, dirty, not fresh and with spots. It was changed right away. Upon arrival, I found a thick film of black mold on the shower head and cleaned it out myself. Shower and bathroom floor looked not clean and moldy. Otherwise the room was clean. Beautiful beach, friendly staff except for one guy at the beach who tried to take away beach chairs at 5 pm because it was close to the end of his shift. He really tried to push people out. 5-7 pm is the best time to be on the beach though as the sun is not that hut. We really liked small refreshing complimentary drinks at the beach every day at midday. Restaurants are nice, however, very overpriced. It would be nice if Mango and Passion had under $12 lunch options (like Islander at La Cabana). Overall, it is our second time at the Amsterdam Manor, and we'll come again. That is the hotel to stay in Aruba. I highly recommend it.

Quiet, private, great beachPosted Aug 25, 2015
You can actually do some snorkeling off the Amsterdam Manor beach all the way to the right, against the coral ledge, but watch out for jet skis. The only caveat, which has been mentioned here before, is that sometimes the wind brings a sewage smell from the nearby treatment plant. That didn't stop us from returning due to the overall peace and quiet at this hotel. If you want action and activities for the family on your resort, look elsewhere. If you want a really quiet and relaxing place, the AM is the best I've seen on Aruba.

Location: Close to the beach , short distance to the larger resorts
This is a Top Notch Hotel, it is a great place to spend a week, every aspect of this hotel is 5 stars. Eagle Beach can rank among the worlds finest, soft white sand and calm warm ocean, the beach is kept in a pristine condition.
