Great resort

Posted Jul 22, 2016
Amsterdam Manor is a great resort with an absolutely great staff. From the front desk to the wait staff to the bartenders, one could not ask for more prifessional & personable attention. Much appreciated!

Close to beach, but no views

Posted Jul 17, 2016
Pros: My overall experience was very relaxing when I wanted that and busy when I wanted that. The setting is lovely. See above.
Cons: Every day at the beach, the first thing that happened was a man approached me saying it was $15 to rent a chair BEFORE asking if I was a guest. Rude.
Location: Across from beach. I used DePalm Tours for airport shuttle and excursions. Snorkeling catamaran: super fun. Bus tour: older crowd but lots of sites
My goal is to always have a view of the ocean and somehow, whether I misread or had the wrong idea in my head based on pics, that did not happen; therefore I was initially disappointed. Positives: The room itself was lovely, very clean, and the bed was super comfy, right across the street from the beach, lovely beach with gorgeous sunset views, best bartender anywhere (Peter) at the poolside bar, staff speak multiple languages fluently and can bounce from answering your question in English to answering someone else's question in another language, lots of great tours offered thru concierge at reasonable prices, the most impressive grocery store I have been in is within walking distance of the hotel, the public bus stops at the hotel and will take you downtown for 1/10th the cost of a cab, the food at the restaurants is good, safe location, fully stocked kitchen, comfy robes. Negatives: No ocean view for most rooms, my room (the B area) had the carts (ice, linens, housekeeping, etc.) running past early morning and late night, the bartenders at the beach are not friendly, dozens of jet skis all day, as this is the pick up location, no atm (one at grocery store) Neutral: You get chocolates every night, but it is also an excuse for room service to come into your room at night which I am not a fan of. It did not matter that I had the "Do not Disturb" sign on my door, they came in. That could be embarrassing! So lock your two other locks if you are in the room.

The Closest Thing to Perfection

Posted Jul 16, 2016
Amazing, beautiful, clean, friendly, every need met and addressed. Across the street from the beach, perfect evening restaurant on the beach at night to enjoy a sunset dinner literally. The staff was friendly and very resourceful I'm definitely going back. My husband and I went and took our 1yr old and 5 yr old and they too loved it. The only bad part was leaving.

Wonderful, quaint hotel

Wonderful staff and accomodations. The hotel restaurant on the beach was fabulous! Much less crowded than the High Rise area down the street.

Dear Chris, Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We are happy to hear about your wonderful experience at Passions on the Beach! Indeed Eagle Beach offers a very quiet getaway, but still not too far from the hustle and bustle if you're in the mood for a festive night out. We hope to welcome you again in the future!

Another wonderful stay!

Posted May 13, 2016
This was our second stay at AM. We loved it so much last year, we returned again this year. The hotel and grounds are beautiful, the staff is attentive and very friendly. While doing laundry half way through our stay, we walked around the hotel and selected our room for our 2017 trip to Aruba. Highly recommend the hotel and its proximity to Eagle Beach is just a bonus!

Nice place, quiet and very peaceful.

Posted May 12, 2016
The hotel feels more like a big home. The views are fantastic and the property is spotless. A nice Mediterranean feel to the place. Great for couples who are looking for tranquility, but fun is steps away. There's a large supermarket called Super foods a short stroll away as well. Eagle beach is literally across the road. Restaurants and jet ski. We had a one bedroom suite and it was spacious and nicely decorated. We will go back.

Eagle beach

Posted Apr 29, 2016
Standard resort right across the street from beautiful Eagle Beach. Room was very comfortable, good AC and clean. Restaurants were decent. Ate lunch 2x at "Passions"- very good but beware of birds and insects flying everywhere throughout your lunch. Had breakfast only one morning at "Mangos", and was extremely disappointed. We must have gotten there after the rush (around 10 am) and there was barely anything left and no one working the omelette station. Pretty much paid almost $15 pp for boiled eggs and toast. Ordered room service one night and it was tasty, but not many options. Glad we didn't do all inclusive. Service was a hit or miss- remember you're on Aruba so they do go at a much slower pace than back in the US. Eagle beach is definitely much nicer than Palm beach. One of the main reasons why we chose this location. No casino on resort but there is one right next door at the neighboring resort-4 min walk. Rented a jeep one day. Best way to see the island, but you can probably see the whole island in one day so not worth renting it more than that. Downtown Oranjestad had a nice mall, many restaurants and shops, so went there a lot to eat and walk around when we needed a break from the beach. Overall, would probably stay at Amsterdam Manor again, but definitely will stay on Eagle Beach. If you don't want to stay at one of those commercial type-high rise hotels on Palm beach, and prefer something a little more Lowkey, basic and access to a beautiful beach, then stay here!

Thank you for your valued feedback and glad that you would choose our hotel again based on your experiences. Lunch is served open-air and therefore available for not only living souls like us, but also the fauna of our beautiful island. My apologies regarding your breakfast experience. We display over 50 food and beverage items daily and we are happy that we receive many compliments about the array of fresh products. Our room service is indeed narrow in choices, since all our rooms have kitchenettes and thus for most guests not an option. Room service for your information is not part of our All Inclusive. Concerning our All Inclusive program, this is one of the most exclusive ones on Aruba. You can choose from 3 restaurants, table service and eat a la carte from our exquisite menus for lunch and dinner. A big difference from the regular hotels were you need to stand in line of buffets with restricted food options. We hope to see you again in the future and you always can reach us at the Amsterdam Manor and ask for our F&B Manager.

A lovely Experience

Posted Apr 24, 2016
Pros: Quiet location. Beautiful beach.
Cons: Towels should be available at the pool. Beach attendants could be more helpful. Bottled water should be provided with room.
Location: Beach, restaurants, shopping nearby but many are not within walking distance.
Located on Eagle Beach in the "low rise" section. Quiet and peaceful. Rooms are clean. Staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. Would recommend renting a vehicle. Many sites and attractions not within walking distance. Taxis can be costly.

Great location with outstanding staff!!!

Posted Apr 19, 2016
The staff was extremely friendly and attentive at every function from wait staff (Juan, Marleny and others) at Mangos (at breakfast) to Vincent and Keyshawn at Passions. Eagle Beach across the street with beach loungers was all I needed in the morning and afternoon. I can see why so many visitors come back to the Amsterdam Manor.

Heerlijk hotel op een perfecte plek gelegen. slechts door weg gescheiden van het prachtige strand van eagle beach. En daar staan de strandbedden klaar voor de hotelgasten. Personeel doet er alles aan om het je naar de zin te maken.
