Room flooded at 2:00am.

Posted Apr 23, 2017
Terrible experience. No rooms available at 2:00am when awakened by flood and not offered any other option. I insisted on being transferred to another hotel.

Pool was nice

Posted Apr 16, 2017
Pool was nice. Walls in room too thin could hear everyone coming and going. Bed was comfortable. Carpeting was dirty

Not best value for the money

Posted Apr 10, 2017
Pros: location and overall ambience is good.
Cons: early check-in front office promptness of parking attendants
Location: close to Eagle Beach (one of the best in the world) close to several restaurants, bars, shopping, fast food
Front desk rep was horrible. At almost USD 300 per night, the hotel was just average.

Familiar hotel with best location and prices.

Posted Apr 9, 2017
Pros: Location and price
Cons: The layout of the rooms has changed. More of a European layout. Not as comfortable as before to an American.
Location: Right close to downtown with everything close by.
We have been going here for more than ten years. It is nice to go back to our favorite place in Aruba.

Many options for a great vacation

Posted Apr 7, 2017
The marina location is great, very hip vibe and beautiful location. Note this location does not have beach access, other than by shuttle, walking or boat. The Renaissance property is made of up of 2 locations...Marina and across the street the Ocean Suites. I arrived with reservation at Marina and asked to change to the Ocean. The Ocean property is beautiful, 2 pools, beach, swim up bar with very attentive staff. Both properties give you access to a private island that was just great. Bar and food service...one adult side and the other side families. I had a great time at the private beach and at the Ocean property. Highly recommend the property. Marina property has a great infiniti pool and for adults only...where the ocean property is kids.

Swanky hotel with access to a private island

Posted Apr 4, 2017
Pros: Fun atmosphere, very hip and lively bar area.
Cons: Rooms are small but nicely decorated. Tiny showers in rooms, and my room did not have warm water for showering the entire trip, which sucked.
Location: Nightlife, shopping, beaches, sunset cruises, Natural Pool Jeep excursions
Stayed at the Renaissance for 4 nights for a Girls Weekend. The hotel is very swanky, with a cool lobby bar area and small rooftop pool area with lounge chairs and seating. The decor was very updated and hip. Friendly staff, good drinks. Positives: Access to the private island via boat. Rarely had to wait much longer than 5 minutes for the boat to ferry us over. The island is gorgeous. Big restaurant/bar on the family-side, tiki bar on the adult-only side where the flamingos roam. Pool floats can be rented for $6, plus other water activities are available. Plentiful seating for sun bathing both days we went; beaches were not crowded. I saw very few children, even on the family side. Went to the beach area/swim up bar on the family resort one day as well, even though we were staying in the adult-only towers. Not crowded at all, good food and drinks by the bar plus the live entertainment was fun to watch. Negatives: No actual beach access from the adult side, so don't stay here if you want to be able to walk out of your room and down to a beach. All 4 rooms in our group had views of the street, no water view. It is also much further down the strip away from the more lively Palm Beach area, so at night we had to take 2 cabs since cabs in Aruba are maxed out at 5 passengers. The cab ride was approx 15 minutes, so don't stay here thinking you'll be walking there. We did not do the all-inclusive package and I'm glad since their restaurants aren't on the water and lacked ambience

Indeed Nice hotel, in the center of town.

Posted Mar 29, 2017
We stayed there from 16th till 18th of March and had the best time. Not only for the hotel, the mall, the Renaissance island and of course ZARA, but also so close to all the festivities which took place on the flag day in town. If on Aruba I always stay in Renaissance.
