Perfect location near shops and restaurants

I enjoy staying at the Riu chain. This hotel is connected to the Riu palace. We stay at the Riu Antilles which is adult only side. Very close to mall, restaurants and other bars if you want to try something else. I can say it is pretty small hotel, 2 buffets and 3 restaurants. You can also go to the Riu palace side and dine (buffet only)
The only restaurant we tried was the Italian, and it was ok. Buffet in restaurant was nothing special.
Buffet choices were good, felt as if the meat and fish was always empty. You had to wait for it to cook and grab it as soon as it came out.
The beach was very clean, no waves and crystal clear. Grab you Sun loungers First thing in the am if you want to be under a tiki umbrella.
Rent a car and see all the sights, there's a national car rental and if you want to see the natural pools, caves and want to be adventurous rent a jeep. It's worth every penny and experience. Concierge can help You plan your day.
The only negative thing I will say is the elevators are terrible after breakfast they are packed and you have to wait to get on as one of them was broken and never worked.
