"So much lovelier than any big hotel"
Owners Andros and Maya alone would make your stay in Aruba memorable, and their spacious, elegant hotel puts to shame the big ones you see from your room. Comfortable, elegant, friendly, affordable, it has it all. I will stay only here whenever I come to Aruba again.

"Nice and close to everything you need..."
Check in was quick and easy, nice room, no refrigerator or microwave but we didn't need one. Food, shopping and excursions all in walking distance so don't need a car unless you really want one. $25 to get to hotel from airport in a taxi.

"Great location"
My fiancé and I truly enjoyed our stay here. It's in downtown Oranjestad and isn't as crowded as the area with all the resorts, but still has lots of shopping and things to do close by. Loved the Renaissance private island! And the food at the LG Smith Steakhouse was delicious!!

"Nice hotel close to the beach"
This review is long overdue - but better late than never. My boyfriend and I went to Aruba in March of 2016 for my birthday and had a wonderful time at The Mill Resort & Suites Aruba. The room we had was modern and beautiful and the staff was very accommodating with our wishes. We also had the pleasure to meet the hotel manager, who was extremely friendly and very nice to talk to. The hotel had some themed dinners and our favorite was Pasta Night w/ unlimited pasta made to your wishes and incl. a nice salad buffet. The location was pretty convenient too. It was a short (maybe) 10-15min walk to the beach and shopping, dining area(s). If you want to be right on the beach you gotta pay the big bucks for the high-end resorts and hotels. I would definitely recommend The Mill Resort & Suites Aruba if you are looking for a nice and affordable stay on the Island with a laid back vibe. Thanks to the staff and the manager for making our stay very pleasant.

"nice all inclusive with great location"
Overall our trip was great! Staff was wonderful, drinks were delicious and the buffets were good. The location of the hotel was perfect, right on the beach and only a short walk to downtown. As far as the restaurants inside I can only comment on Rimini as we tried off location restaurants for all our other dinners. The staff was wonderful but the food at Rimini was disappointing. We though it was a buffet alternative and it was just another buffet with small main course portions with very limited options. I would have honestly chose to go to the regular buffet as there was much more to choose from. We stayed in the "updated villas" which were a nice design although ours smelt very musty and was very damp. Our sheets always felt a little wet so that was a bit bizarre and hard to get comfortable. Our room was cleaned twice a day which was really nice and we always had Plenty of towels which was great. Inside the drawers smelt of mold and some stains which looked like mold. Also, our closet only had one door which was weird. Our room key stopped working the last few days which got to be very annoying and even after having it reset and multiple new keys we often had to find the housekeeper to let us in. Contrary to our experience with the room friends of ours stayed in another villa and had none of these issues. All in all it was a wonderful trip and I would definitely stay here again but maybe try switching rooms if we had the same moisture problems again.

Best and Worst Times to Visit Aruba

If you’re dreaming of sunny skies and balmy weather then visit Aruba during any time of the year. This Caribbean island flaunts temperatures around the 80s F year round, and because it’s outside of the hurricane belt, you never have to worry about storm systems. Sometimes it rains between October and January, but the showers are usually short lived, giving way to sunshine by the afternoon. Trade winds roll in during the spring and summer, but they help keep the island from getting too toasty.

Due to the year-round beach-y climate, the crowds are really what determine high and low season. Vacationers who are looking to escape winter weather tend to flood the island between mid-December and early April. With this increase in visitors comes higher rates. If you prefer fewer crowds and lower rates, choose to visit between April and early December.

    Things to Do

Basking on the beach is one of the best things to do on this Caribbean island. Cool off in the calm waters on Rodger Beach or hang out on the shores of Renaissance Island. Take your adventures underwater and snorkel off the coast of De Palm Island and Baby Beach, or turn up the extreme factor with a windsurfing excursion at Bachelors Beach. Kiteboard at Boca Grandi and wade around at the Natural Pool before resting up at the one of the top Aruba resorts on the island.

After enjoying your fair share of beach time, venture further inland. Make a visit to Fort Zoutman, the island’s oldest building, which dates back to 1796, and discover the ancient artifacts at the Archeological Museum. While you’re in town, do some shopping at the markets in the capital, Oranjestad, and visit the Aruba Aloe Museum and Factory to learn about the role of the plant in the island’s history. From the Museum of Antiquities to the Bushiribana Ruins, you’ll find plenty of attractions that don’t involve saltwater and sand in Aruba.
