You can't control the airvonditioning yourself in the room. Thelight in the bathroom is connected to an extremely noisy Ventilation fan so if you turn the light at night you will wake up other people in your room. We were 3 people but in our room were only 2 glasses and we had to ask for a handtowel & wash cloth the first day because they had fiorgotten to put them in the bathroom. The room was otherwise good. The poolside is nice.

The hotel itself is pleasant, across a beach.Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, cleanliness, close to beach.
Cons: Furniture in rooms
Location: Everything (restaurants, shops) is about 20 min walking distance.
The hotel was very basic, although it was nice in general terms. My biggest issue was with my room itself - the air conditioning was pointed directly at the work desk, which made it impossible to work without freezing to death, and since I was in Aruba for work, this was a huge negative. I ended up have to move furniture around to be more productive. The bed was also disappointing; the pillows were clearly low quality, and the mattress itself was the cheap kind that sinks immediately with any bit of weight, which led to back pains in the mornings. That being said, the room was clean, the hotel staff was friendly. I only had the free breakfast, which was not very good, but I can't speak for the rest of the restaurant.

Pros: Friendly staff and the location.
Cons: The bathroom tiles.
Location: The beach, movies, shopping centre and the airport are nearby the hotel.
Very friendly staff. We could check in earlier. Nice swimming pool. Nearby the airport and could walk to the movies in 10 minutes.

Talk of the Town Hotel ArubaPosted May 13, 2015 on Hotels
This hotel absolutely marvelous. I had a problem at check in, because they have a sign that Discover card is accepted but it did not work on any of their terminals. The Discover agents got on the line and yet front desk clerk still could not figure it out. In the end I had to do my reservation online and everything was fine. The breakfast was great. The location was excellent right across from the beach with bars for evening entertainment. I will be back!!!

family get awayPosted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: It is very convenient
Cons: I would prefer carpet on the floors. Tiles are extremely cold with the airco
Hotel is in an excellent location. Middle of oranjestad, not too far from Palm Bay driving. Centrally located. Close to restaurants and shopping.

Cheap and LocalPosted Apr 28, 2015 on Hotels
This hotel is one of the cheapest hotels on the island, and that's what you get. Breakfast was outstanding, they have a great variety for anyone to choose from. This hotel is located in a local neighborhood, so you wont see many other tourists in the area, so it ends up being quite nice to meet the locals. The beach is filled with locals, and its ok, the nicer beaches are easily accessible if you chose to go up north, but the beach across the street is ok. Its just a 15 minute walk down the boardwalk to downtown Aruba. Just a heads up, all the stores are closed on Sundays. The rooms aren't very clean or kept up very well, but they are useable. If you are traveling on a budget I would recommend it, if you are on a honeymoon, go to a nicer hotel. The staff speak ok English, enough for you to get by. The taxi prices are ridiculous on the island, it will cost you $15 from the airport. I would recommend this hotel, but don't expect a 5 star hotel.
