The woman who checked us in was great. The only thing is when I spoke to other guests they paid less for their stay

Cons: Update furniture and tub.
Rooms are showing a lot of wear and tear, but when in Aruba, you aren't hanging out in your room. Staff was pleasant. Beach attendants were nice and did their best to find you shade.

Quiet, relaxation near the beach

Pros: It's proximity to the beach, yet not tooo competitive (for a hut). It's reasonable prices & location.
Cons: It's not the newest facility, but is being renovated. It could use a facelift of the bathrooms & the water pressure in the sink is not good.
Location: It's located behind the La Cabana which offers nightly entertainment. It's also within walking to a grocery store. A short bus ride to town/highrise
My husband & I used to stay in the high rise section. We wanted to try the low rise hotels for a more laid back, quiet break from life. The Tropicana fits the bill for that. We've been staying here for the last two years & plan to take our family back in May. I think it will be perfect for the small children. Not crowded, nice pools, close to the beach & local grocery store. Perfect!

The pool is nice

Pros: The pool is nice .
Cons: All the rooms need to be done they have started but who knows when they will be done .
Location: It is away from beach . Only a few places to eat unless you drive
We booked though Expedia the room looked nice on the internet but they are very old and out dated . They are redoing some rooms but if we wanted one it was an extra charge . When we told them the pull sofa was very uncomfortable for my Aunt they didn't offer us anything . The good thing was we were only booked for two nights one night before a stay at a timeshare and one after the week .

Modern Room, Quick Walk to Beach

We originally booked a deluxe king but upgraded to a premium king before we arrived. We had heard that the rooms "lesser" than the premiums were not yet renovated. The premium we received was excellent; everything was new. Nice, roomy shower (no tub) with nearly a full kitchen. The kitchen didn't have a full oven, but there was a toaster oven and microwave. Quiet room with nice balcony. Comfortable bed with nice flat screen TV in both bedroom and living room. (Lots of American stations). Good control over the thermostat. Easy walk to the beach - approx 7 minutes along a path. Also walkable to Super Food, but ask the front desk to tell you how to find the path in order to cross the road - it's not obvious. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice location

Pros: Location, beach, pool
Cons: When the work has been completed, the resort will be top notch.
Resort is not 90% renovated as quoted by Expedia.....25% is a more accurate percentage

Excellent Stay

Pros: The pools for the kids. The washer/dryer in rooms.
Cons: The wif-fi could be improved.
Location: The super market is RIGHT behind it. Easy to walk to the store and beach. Great location and we love the beautiful Eagle Beach.
We stayed at the Tropicana which with our family of 5. It was great! We had a lovely time. They are currently upgrading their rooms. We did not stay in the upgraded room, but they were not bad. Definitely worth the affordable price.

What a great place to stay

Pros: I love that the rooms are like little villas. I love the staff, all of them- front desk, housekeeping, bartenders.
Cons: Nothing. Keep doing what you are doing already. Its a wonderful place to stay.
Location: This hotel is in Aruba. There is sailing, cycling, snorkeling, hiking, an amazing park with wildlife. I cant wait to come back.
Each and every staff at the Tropicana Aruba was so friendly and went out of their way to help me, even with the smallest detail like being able to call my family from their 800 number because I didn't have overseas cell service. Any excursion I was interested in, they had genuine interest in making sure I signed up with the right tour guide. The rooms were great and I cant wait to come back with my whole family. I love these people and cant wait to stay there again.

Worth it

I recently stayed at Tropicana Aruba and had a blast. We stayed in a deluxe room which are all on the ground level room number 1548! Next to the waterfall pool great location. This wasn't one of the newly renovated rooms but had a separate bedroom, sofa sleeper, kitchen table, two Burner stove, microwave and fridge. The grocery store is located behind Tropicana within walking distance ensure to take free reusable bags at airport as no grocery bags unless u want to pay. Eagle beach located across street with access to walk through LA cabana resort. Small casino is fun and restaurant inside gray for breakfast. If you are looking for an affordable vacation this is the place.

Pros: The people working here were wonderful.
Cons: the whole room should be done over. It certainly was grossly overpriced.I have stayed in netter places in Aruba.
Location: The location is good. Cabs are not expensive if you want to go out to eat or shop.
The building I was in had not been renovated. Sink fixture was rusty. Wallpaper.wasdirty and peeling off. Balcony had not been cleaned. Hallway leading to my room was also dirty. My room was overpriced. It was not worth it. I feel I should be getting money backfrom this deal. Mary Jane Santoro
