Went for a two-day conference. Hotel was in proximity to the venue, the room was spacious but extremely disappointed with the service. No towels provided at all for either myself or my wife, returning from the conference at 10pm.
I contacted reception and I was quizzed why there were no towels. Well, room service didn't do their what they were paid for. I was given a 15mins window by reception for two sets of towels to be brought up, after 35mins I contacted them again and the receptionist came up, clearly upset about the chore (i.e. service) she had to provide. When I asked how can this be that a simple service like providing fresh towels (remember: there were none) isn't provided, all I got from the receptionist was a sneer and eyes rolled. No apology. Considering the receptionist represents the organization, this reflects badly on the hotel. Overall quite upsetting.
When I checked out the following morning, I addressed the issue but all that was said was that "the room service provider won't be working with us for much longer" and the matter was brushed over. No apology.
