Definately not living up to a Plaza Hotel. From Day one not Happy. TV not working. Minibar empty and not connected. Notified that cleaning is only performed every second day. That might be great for the Environment, but not to my expectations. Cleaning itself was performed at the absolut minimum. Many times the room was never really cleaned only the bed made the garbage emptied and the towels exchanged. The view out of the window shows balconies that are definately raise a concern of safety. No Service past 11:00 PM - Had to go through the back door and was feeling unsafe. The Vending Machine never worked.Than no shuttle to the airport. All together never again.

It was to hot for their air cooling system to work so we had to sleep with the windows open. They were nice and brought us a fan.

Standard comfortable stay
The hotel is very practically located in Hanau city center. The junior suite room is very comfortable and spacious.

I always have a wonderful stay there and it's the only place I stay when in Germany. I was sad that the refrigerators are no longer in the rooms. The air conditioning is not as good as I would like and it would be nice to have an outside seating area that is non smoking.

The main disappointed the reception staff initially brusk which could always be down to a language difference. However after not having room service my wife was told it must have been because we had put the do not disturb sign out. She was then told that was the only reason it could be implying she was telling lies. I then got the same tale and either no manager was available or they wouldn’t call them. Not a good way to deal with a simple request to get clean towels. Some staff training needed. No explanation was given at check in that the room card had to be specifically changed to allow access to exercise room again onus on guests. She at least did remove the daily car park fee which I said I would refuse to pay due to her attitude

Went for a two-day conference. Hotel was in proximity to the venue, the room was spacious but extremely disappointed with the service. No towels provided at all for either myself or my wife, returning from the conference at 10pm. I contacted reception and I was quizzed why there were no towels. Well, room service didn't do their what they were paid for. I was given a 15mins window by reception for two sets of towels to be brought up, after 35mins I contacted them again and the receptionist came up, clearly upset about the chore (i.e. service) she had to provide. When I asked how can this be that a simple service like providing fresh towels (remember: there were none) isn't provided, all I got from the receptionist was a sneer and eyes rolled. No apology. Considering the receptionist represents the organization, this reflects badly on the hotel. Overall quite upsetting. When I checked out the following morning, I addressed the issue but all that was said was that "the room service provider won't be working with us for much longer" and the matter was brushed over. No apology.

A safe in the room would have been good. Tea/ coffee/water facilities never got replenished for a 5 night stay. Air conditioning not reliable- didn't work. Room otherwise modern and clean.

I've been travelling to Germany for work every week for several month now so I'm comparing this hotel to others in the country in the same price range. Pros: my office is literally just across the road, so for me, the location is perfect and it's very close to the city centre which is great too. Staff is very friendly and help whereever hotel policies allow. Cons: The room was very basic, just a bed, a wardrobe and a TV, that's it. no fridge, no cattle, no safe, no temperature control (it was a bit too cold for my liking). The bathroom was very small and the water in the shower goes from hot to cold every 10 seconds. The WiFi in my room on the 4th floor didn't work at all. so I had to use my phone's 4G for internet all week.

Undergoing a needed renovation
The hotel is undergoing renovation work, and it is needed. The bathrooms are tired and the shower had some black mould on the grouting between tiles. The showers wasn't particularly nice, with a faded yellow plastic shower curtain. The room itself was much better. Spacious, clean and with a comfortable bed. There is a reasonable desk with a good size TV for the room. The room does have an air-conditioning unit and was a comfortable place to sleep. WiFi was free, but not particularly fast.

Renovation since 1.5 years - not finished yet!
Even they started to renovate the hotel at the beginning of 2017. After almost 1.5 years it's still not finished. The white curtain was removed but not replaced. Also the Mini bar. The carpet was old and dirty. When we checked in they gave us an old room even there were almost no guests in the hotel that day. Why did not give us a nice and renovated room?

Hotel is in good order but no restaurant, only breakfast option. Small bar WiFi did not work so very inconvenient Rooms are generally clean and in good order, but not for me up to normal 4 star hotels in other chains.

My trip schedule was changed and I had to book one more night in Frankfurt. The hotel I had initial reservation was overbooked and I chose Plaza for 1 additional night. The price per night was extremely high - 260 USD for very simple room without fridge or minibar, only small towels were provided, very poor toiletry, no sleepers, wifi access only for 1 device. Breakfast was not included in the price. According to information on hotels.com, shuttle from airport is available - which is lie! Both ways I had to take taxi - additional 75 euro per each direction. IT WAS VERY WRONG CHOICE!!!

A comfortable stay in Hanau
This was a good, comfortable hotel for a week-long business trip. The staff was very helpful, rooms were clean and well-appointed, and the hotel is convenient to the train station and the old city.

The room was great, large with 3 beds and a fridge which is rare in Europe but the staff was not very helpful. At check-in I was not told anything about parking, wifi, breakfast, etc. She gave me a key and that was it. Then when we went to leave (very early in the morning to get to the airport on time) check-out took forever because he tried to charge me for the room even though I already paid online when I booked it. He didn't tell me about parking either so when I tried to leave the parking lot the gate wouldn't go up and I had to go back in to ask and he was very rude. I don't know how the breakfast is because it wasn't open by the time we had to leave. Overall nice hotel but the staff was not friendly or helpful and it was MUCH farther from Frankfurt Airport than it suggested online. I still ended up having to park at the airport while we were gone and just staying the night we got back. Also the extra bed was very squeaky which is trivial I know but my grandma is a very light sleeper and woke up every time I moved.

Not worth every penny to stay at this hotel
Poor front desk attitude and no hotel facilities to offer. No swimming pool, pathetic gym, restaurant only opens for breakfast offering breakfast buffet that never changes its menu for years, patchy Internet and about 1km to city center and Hauan main train station at either direction.

Poor housekeeping and poor front desk service
The check-in time is long and slow. Attitude of front reception is poor. The air-conditioner didn't work and took 4 days before someone comes to repair it. Once repaired, the air-conditioner will turn on for an hour only.. After that, it will automatically turn off for energy savings. The hotel didn't replace the towel during housekeeping and one of the days during my stay, the housekeeping didn't clean up my room. Housekeeping service ends at 2:00pm, thereafter no housekeeping service in hotel. Hotel is in poor condition and in need of a facelift. Overall, it is not worth staying at this hotel if you have a second option.
