Nice hotel, good value

Posted Oct 13, 2016
Nice place, clean, nice staff, very convenient to downtown dining and shopping. Also easily accessible from the interstates. My only complain was it was a bit noisy, with a screaming child and a barking dog (yes, I said dog). But both were short-lived and we enjoyed our stay there. We would return for another stay there.

Good location but too expensive. Room was dirty and very humid even with a/c running. Whole building smelled like gas and old cigarettes.

Nice within walking distance to bars and restaurants. Bathroom needed updating! Old tub/shower.

Needs some work.

Pros: The coffee was good and the staff was pleasant.
Cons: Air conditioner should be updated.
Location: Good location. Able to walk to restaurants, bars and breweries.
Air conditioner in room was very noisy and made sleeping difficult. Electrical outlets were difficult to access. Pulled out dresser to get to an outlet and found underwear and sandal from a previous guest.

Pros: Free parking and good location for downtown activities.
Cons: Housekeeping.
Location: About a half mile walk to most everything downtown - great restaurants, shopping, convention center.
Not the hotel we were expecting from a Four Points Sheraton. For the price, we expected much nicer. We were in basement handicap rooms (apparently all they had) which had a musty odor. We didn't get housekeeping one day. Our room had leftover trash on the floor (but they didn't have another room for us to move to so we had to stay).

Good Location

Posted Aug 7, 2016
Pros: The location was great. Did have in room coffee- that I feel is required. Parking in included. Was clean and bed linens were good.
Cons: The beds seemed to very short- I'm of average height - would probably upgrade to larger bed size in the future.
Location: Is in the very heart of downtown Asheville - many and varied places to eat within walking distance. Interesting shopping- people watching.
Older hotel- but in fairly good condition. Lobby is a bit cramped and the check in desk needs updating- however the staff was quick and efficient and we received the room as described. The room was clean and basic. Had everything we needed. The location is great and the parking is included. Would stay again without hesitation.

Comfortable and walking distance to Asheville

Posted Jul 29, 2016
The hotel was a fairly standard experience with quite comfortable rooms. The rooms and bathrooms were clean but not extravagant. The best feature was the location relative to town, restaurants and bars. The location was worth the stay.

The room we stayed at the first night was close to the lift and was noisy starting at 6 am. We got to change to another room for a better sleep. However, the housekeeping was not provided everyday and we needed to remind the front desk about housekeeping.

Pros: Clean, location, comfortable not snooty
Cons: Front desk agent was clearly stoned out of her mind - she could barely help us, the manager had to interject several times.
Location: Everything in downtown Asheville
Very close to down town made it easy to walk for entertainment. Very pleasant laid back informal atmosphere. Great mix of business and leisure guests.
