Historic Biltmore Village Cottage

Family-friendly Asheville cottage in Biltmore Village, walk to Biltmore Estate
1 Bedroom (Main Bedroom) + Sofa bed (Living Room), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

CHECK-IN TIME IS AT 3:00 PM WITH NO EARLY CHECK-INS ALLOWED! THIS GIVES US TIME TO CLEAN BEFORE OUR GUESTS ARRIVAL.

If you are sensitive to noises this may not be the location for you because our cottage is located in the middle of a ton of shops and restaurants. A CBD and Craft Beer shop is located just below our AirBNB. Noises associated with shops and restaurants are likely to occur in this area.

Built during the early 1900’s, The Chapman House is an original cottage of Historic Biltmore Village. It is part of a picturesque manorial village planned by none other than George Washington Vanderbilt (1862-1914), the founder of the vast and awe inspiring Biltmore Estate.

Initially, the European inspired village housed estate workers and was the center of community life, the location of schools, post office, train depot, infirmary, and church. However, through the course of time, a number of changes have occurred and the village has become a center for art, music, shopping, and restaurants resting just outside the entrance of the Biltmore Estate.

The Chapman House is the only cottage within the village that incorporates a mixed occupancy. A two-story structure, the upstairs apartment maintains a lodging facility complete with a full kitchen, bath, bedroom, foyer, living room, parking, and back porch overlooking the village.

The historic nature of the structure is preserved with original hardwood floors, doors, hardware, lathe and plaster walls, exterior appearance, and overall ambiance.

Enjoy the convenience of walking to dozens of local shops and restaurants, driving five minutes to downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway, or visiting the Biltmore Estate located two tenths of one mile away. Experience the diversity of four seasons with warm springs, green summers, colorful falls, and cool winters. The Chapman House offers a unique experience set within Historic Biltmore Village, located in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina.

Due to the location of our cottage being in the middle of a bunch of shops and restaurants and above a cbd and craft beer shop there are noise that may occur associated with being in this particular location. If you are sensitive to noises you may want to consider a different location.

Air-conditioned accommodations at this cottage offer fireplaces and DVD players. Rooms open to balconies. Kitchens offer refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves, and cookware/dishes/utensils.

Bathrooms include showers and hair dryers. Additionally, rooms include coffee/tea makers and irons/ironing boards.

The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or nearby; fees may apply.

Annual trip to Asheville didn’t disappoint. Great stay in Biltmore Village historic loft. Had a few hiccups but all in all it was truly wonderful.

Central Location
The property is in the center of Biltmore Village. There were many furnishings reflecting the era of the building. We were nervous upon arrival that the home is directly over a small bar. However, the facility closed at a reasonable hour and we never heard any noise from below.

Excellent choice
We loved our stay here! Excellent location right in the middle of shops and restaurants, and only a few minute drive to the Biltmore (our reason for coming). The cottage was cute and clean with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the comfortable bed and outdoor patio. Thanks for a great stay!

Biltmore Getaway
We had been visiting the Biltmore Mansion and needed a place to stay. This upstairs apartment was just the ticket! It was charming and comfortable! There was a very nice mix of antiques and modern amenities. The apartment was clean and well appointed. It lived up to the pictures you see on the website. We loved the patio! It was stated that it was above a bar and could get noisy. The bar was a very small craft beer bar. The staff were very friendly! We heard no noise from the bar! Our only criticism of our stay was the keyless entry. It often took 10 to 12 tries before it would open the door. It was a little frustrating after a long days drive and the entry didn't work. We called the property manager and got no answer. Eventually the door opened. This was the reason we gave low scores for check in and communication. However, we would stay there again. It was charming and quaint!

Exceeds Expectations!
This was a lovely place to stay. Clean, quaint, nicely decorated, nice perks, historic, and a wonderful location in close proximity to upscale eateries, shops, the Biltmore Estate, and more. Parking was on the premises as well. We particularly enjoyed the shop below the rental. We would highly recommend this as a perfect little getaway. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Awesome find
We had a wonderful time at Chapman House. We came up for our honeymoon and it was so nice to be outside of the city and have the quietness of space close to shops and eateries that we could walk to. Having coffee on the Terrace was one of our favorite times of day! The place was spotless and exactly what we wanted. Thank you so much. Can’t wait to come back!
