The Glynn House Inn is beautiful, tranquil, and well hosted.
The common rooms are clean and well maintained --- beautiful woodwork and framings through out, and large windows yield lots of natural sunlight. Aesthetically, it is very pretty with a true Victorian feel. All rooms are tastefully furnished.
I stayed in the the Monroe Suite, which was a large room with pleasant decor. The bed was large, soft, and comfortable, as were the linens. If it were not a hot summer weekend, I probably would have taken advantage of the hot tub and imitation fireplace that was also in the suite.
The complementary breakfasts were very good, and the host was an engaging conversationalist. The two Dalmatians that also live at the Inn are very sweet! As a bonus, there are dog-friendly rooms available as well; I did not bring my dog for this trip, but I think dog-friendliness is always a welcomed observation to note.
The location of the Inn is very convenient, not far from Rt. 3, and has a few restaurants within short walking distance. The surrounding neighborhood is very peaceful, ideal for evening strolls.
I only stayed for two nights, visiting the area for a wedding nearby, but I would certainly consider returning. Many thanks to the hosts of the Glynn House Inn for such a lovely stay.
