Quiet restful location with a private hot tub. The restaurant on site was excellent!

Nice Hotel on top of the Southern Oregon Cascades

Posted Jun 29, 2017
Pros: The property is nice, the room was mostly clean, except for one overlooked pillow case.
Cons: The room needs upgrades, such as the a/c working and the shower water handle needing to be fixed. The waitstaff needs to be aware of food allergies.
Location: The quiet of the woods was nice. There are nearby lakes and a snowpark. Ashland is only about 20 miles away. Mt. Ashland in winter is about 45 mins
Our in room air conditioner didn't work, but the temperature outside was comfortable. One of the throw pillows on the bed had some dried something on it, that came from a body, but the rest of the room was very clean. The shower handle was partially broken and was difficult to get the water temperature right. There are no TVs in the rooms, which we new prior to going, as they weren't listed among amenities and the wi-fi kept going off and on, so streaming wasn't an option. Overall the location is beautiful, that staff are friendly and the core mission of the place is to help them pay off the place, which they saved a forest of 100 year old trees on 145 acres from being logged. It's a beautiful western forest at about 4,300 feet. There are three dams nearby for fishing or other activities. In the winter there is a snow park nearby as well. The highway going up from Ashland is windy and steep and a little further than the advertised 12 miles from SOU. It may be 12 air miles, but it is 19 miles by road. We had a wonderful breakfast there. However I am gluten intolerant, so the first night when we ate dinner at the restaurant, the waitress did not convey or the cook did not make my meal gluten free, as I had alerted the waitress when ordering, so I had to wait for my meal to be re-cooked while my wife ate hers. It kinda disrupted the flow and they didn't make any adjustments to the bill, which didn't make us happy. We spent a couple of nice days down in Ashland.

Great get away in the forest

Posted Jun 4, 2017
We arrived late after loading for a move to Portland and were welcomed by a very pleasant staff. Loved the food and enjoyed eating on the patio to live music!! Only suggestion would to have someone other than the wait staff available for checking into our room. It was a bit of a wait because they were busy with dinner guests.

Paradise

Location: We went white water rafting about 30 minutes from the cabin with Noahs river adventures, great time and great staff there as well!
We came here for our honeymoon and it was everything we expected and more. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They cabins give the perfect feel of seclusion and privacy. The beds were heavenly, we actually meant to ask what kind of mattresses they use so we could buy one but forgot! The cabins are situated with a beautiful view of the forest and they include every convenience inside the cabin to make sure you have a great stay :) definitely the best stop on our road trip we will absolutely be back. The price is also very reasonable considering everything you get in return.

BEAUTIFUL PLACE

Posted May 6, 2017
Very friendly staff and people that make the stay even more enjoyable. Such a beautiful, relaxing place to stay and enjoy delicious food. The simplicity of this place is perfect for those wanting to get away from a busy life style with loud noise. Definitely will recommend to friends and family.

Beautiful soft comfy room

The drive up to location was not my favorite for sure. Took a good long while to get hot water. I had a lukewarm shower but after my shower my husbands shower was good and hot

the cabin was really cozy. the cabin was very clean and the beds were comfortable. It had a nice loft. I enjoyed the grounds around the cabin as did my son and dog. The hot tub was a nice touch too. There was only one thing that left me feeling a little eerie, I found 2 bottles of water/ Gatorade around the cabin that weren't there the previous day- it made me think there was someone watching us.
