Older hotel but staff makes up for it

Pros: Staff - very pleasant and accomodating.
Cons: Longer pool hours and better clarification on rates at check-in, and local delivery places.
Location: Close to Ashland University and Grandpa's Cheesebarn. Many things to do in the area.
This is an older hotel that I used to stay at many, many years ago. A fair amount has not changed, but a lot has been updated. Our first room reeked of a nasty smell - someone had been smoking in there, but we were quickly moved to a different room with no problems. Front desk told me that this would be a cheaper rate as well. At the end of our stay, I double checked the bill and was not given the original rate that I got when I made our reservation and the 'discount' was from the higher rate the hotel gave us. No difference really, just disappointing after being told I would be saving money. Continental breakfast gave lots of options and it was great that coffee was available 24 hours. Would like to see longer hours for the pool - doesn't open until 10am and check out is 11am. Hard when you have kiddos that you can't allow that one last swim before heading out. Also learned that some of the delivery places included in their complementary information no longer deliver that far out from town. Good stay - things could have been a bit better, but they could also have been a lot worse. Won't hesitate to return, especially knowing what I know now.

Very nice hotel

Very nice hotel...I would stay there again. Breakfast was above average, room was very comfortable and overall great front desk service.

Good place to stay at a good price

The room was clean. Our window didn't lock, but we didn't ask for any help with it. We used a bar we had with us. A fan in the bathroom would have been nice...the beds were ok, kinda hard. Pool and hot tub room was great! Breakfast bar was yummy. And the price was right! Overall good stay and we would stay here again. Oh and very nice location with lots of stores and restaurants right there

we arrived at a time when rooms were being renovated. somewhat inconvinient but worked ourselves around that. no elevator which for older people is a little rough. bathrooms were small but clean. overall it was a pleasant stay.

I appreciate your feedback on your stay with us I am happy that your stay was not ruined by our carpet installation. Renovations are so necessary but cause havoc upon any property so we try to prepare and make it the least inconvenient to the guest as possible. Yes no elevator but you can always put in for a first floor request which we are always happy to accommodate! I hope you will return for another pleasant stay!

I must agree the debit vending machines are ridiculous and I am trying to get it corrected!
