Close to town but isolated. Walking trails are outside the room. The view of Ajax Mountain is great. I will definitely return.

Odd resort.

Pros: It had a view of the mountains.
Cons: Improving the hotel would include some directional signage while under construction. It was a very confusing location.
This resort is under construction. The rooms were large and roomy but the layout was odd. It felt as if you were at school and on a campus. The signs were not very well located on where to check in. The only parking was handicap near the check in location.

Pros: Location next to conference
Cons: Management, reservation system, security on changing someone's PAID reservations.
I arrived at conference night before I am to be keynote speaker to find that not only was my room not available, it was given to someone else and my name had been erased from the reservations. I also got to pay for the other person in my room. Several denials from staff and no offers of help, I eventually went and found another hotel. Messages to hotel management resulted in no action. The price was cheap enough that I probably won't bother to find out who I paid the two nights for .... but you can bet that I won't be back in the future.

This is a great little hideaway on the outskirts of Aspen. Quiet, peaceful surroundings, yet close enough to casually bike to the downtown area. Rooms were as expected. Staff was exceptional! Will definitely stay here again.

Pros: Grounds, location
Location: A short walk from downtown Aspen and the base area but that is a plus. Aspen Institute is adjacent and so are trails for hiking and biking.
I always choose to stay here when in Aspen. The rooms are wonderful and the grounds are beautiful. I wish that I had been informed of the ongoing renovation of the bar/restaurant. I might have thought twice about visiting this year.

We also enjoy the easy access to the Rio Grande Trail for hiking and biking! As noted on our website, Booking.com, Expedia and other booking engines, we are undergoing a renovation of our reception building from August, 2017-June, 2018. This has necessitated the closure of our bar and fine dining restaurant. We are offering grab-and-go items from the front desk, breakfast in an alternate location and all day room service. We look forward to your return so you can enjoy the beautiful newly remodeled restaurant, bar, and terraces!

Great for relaxing and enjoying Aspen's beauty

We visited Aspen specifically for hiking Maroon Bells. We chose this resort as a home base. This hotel was fine for that purpose. They have a lovely restaurant and bar. Dinner and breakfasts were terrific with excellent wait staff and super friendly sous chef. The room/suite was comfortable - though it lacked air conditioning, the room could be cooled off almost enough with the windows open in the evening and night. The grounds and abundant art work were fascinating and quite an enjoyable experience. They have a shuttle to and from down town, so if you are in the mood to experience the hubbub of downtown Aspen, it is easy to do sans auto. The resort is set back from main roads so there is no noise, however egress can be tricky due to the amount of traffic when exiting the area and entering the main roadways without traffic lights (we were there during a particularly crowded weekend). There are hiking trails around the property, tennis courts, a very well equipped work out room and a lovely lap pool that we did not have the opportunity to experience fully. Having seen all that Aspen Meadows Resort has to offer, we are looking forward to another visit to just stay and enjoy the premises.

Fantastic Hotel!

Pros: Spacious Rooms Quiet environment: adult centred Beautiful views, away from the centre of town Shuttle service to town/airport
Cons: Nothing
Location: We loved the location! It's a short shuttle ride to Aspen Mountain for skiing.
This was our second visit to Aspen Meadows. The hotel is quiet and it's well away from the centre of Aspen, however there are regular shuttles and it's a pleasant twenty minute stroll into town. The rooms are spacious and clean, the housekeeping is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the large pool which is divided into lanes so you can do some serious swimming after a day on the mountain! The staff are very friendly and willing to please, making our stay all the more enjoyable. This is a great resort if you are wanting some peace and tranquility and enjoy a 360 degree backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.

Just great. The only "thing" that is not completely great is the room is too hot at night and could not quickly cools down
