Attention to detail lacking, especially for a supposedly high end hotel…one example, had a small pet traveling with us. They made no attempt to clean the room the first two days….on the third day, we called down at 10am to say we would be walking around town and would like the room cleaned and restocked with water…came back at noon, room not cleaned or restocked. Waited until 1 and called again, this time someone came and finally cleaned the room, but the refrigerator and tea were never restocked in 5 day visit…
This was hands-down the best hotel experience we've ever had. From the service to the restaurants to the surprise bottle of wine on the house, I would give this hotel 6-stars if I could. We will DEF be returning!!
We were on a two day hike and stayed here after hiking 11 miles from Crested Butte. It was so nice to land in such an awesome place after a hard hike. We loved having massages after our hike , the only negative is that we were not notified until 15 minutes before we were to check in. We were a to make the massage appointments and they were able to do the foot bath after.
Because of Covid and the weather, the restaurants weren’t open and room service consisted of maybe three items. We waited 2 hours to get an item from housekeeping. But that is not why I’m
Giving the worst rating I can. I was okay with all of this as there are obvious problems with labor right now.
Basically, we had one horrible experience which was not at all handled well. The hotel offers a shuttle system that takes skiers to and from the mountains. I asked many questions before deciding to use the shuttle service and decided to use it because I am not a confident winter driver and thought this was the safest option for my son. The ride to the mountain was fine. My son tipped the driver $20 and had a great day on the mountain. The driver asked him if was going to use the shuttle in the afternoon and he said yes. The shuttle returned at 345. My son was waiting at the shuttle stop at 330. The shuttle came and there were not enough seats in the vehicle. All of the shops on the mountain were closed. It was already dark and snowing quite hard. The driver told my son to catch the bus. And they left without my son. He was left on the mountain with no ride in the middle of a snowstorm. He called me and as he was telling me what happened, his phone died. I immediately went to the front desk to figure out what was going on. No one really helped me. My son waved down a public bus driver and asked him for a ride back to the hotel….. no apology.
