If you are traveling in the fall, why not choose colorful Colorado? #BestOf5
Anywhere you go in Aspen in the fall will provide these stunning and colorful views, but this trail is the best. There's nothing quite like the display of colors in the mountains of Colorado in Autumn.
Colorado’s peak fall foliage is usually from mid-September to mid-October, and can vary by season and depend on temperatures.
What makes Colorado unique? Colorado strikes aspen gold when the aspen trees turn brilliant yellow in the mountains. Colorado and Utah are home to the largest number of aspen trees in the U.S.

Everyone thinks of Aspen, CO as a ski destination, but it's an amazing place to visit in the fall also. This was taken in October, when the aspen trees were in their full colorful glory. Find Devils Punch Bowl and enjoy some cliff jumping! It's on Independence Pass closer to Aspen :) #waterlust The edge of Crater Lake, about an hour and a half hike up from Maroon Lake. Waterfalls, bighorn sheep (or mountain goats: there was some disagreement), wildflowers. Anywhere you go in Aspen in the fall will provide you with these #colorful and stunning views, but this trail is the best.
If you are traveling in the fall- why not choose Colorado? From a hiking trip last fall! <3 Colorado. While this is not the most difficult hike, the views are absolutely spectacular especially when the Aspens are changing color. Early morning is the best time to go to get beautiful lake reflections.
#Aspen On the hike from Maroon Lake up to Crater Lake. Arrive early and plan on at least a couple of hours, more if you stop as often as I do to take photos. This is one of my favorite pictures of the Aspen trees around Aspen CO. We were hiking in the mountains when we came across this grove with the variation of colors. Love Aspen in the Fall. Fall time in Aspen Maroon Lake from above. This spot is about halfway down from Crater Lake. The magnificent Maroon Bells in Aspen #maroonbells #colorado #bucketlist #waterlust Just west of downtown Aspen Heading down from Crater Lake back to Maroon Lake. Seeing the aspens change this golden color in late September is an art. A week later and you've missed them. This was taken on the scenic loop trail at Maroon Bells in Aspen, CO. #aspen #colorado #fall #autumn #golden #colorful Beautiful Cathedral Lake. It's a tough 8 mile hike but worth it. Scenic views of aspen COLORADO . Clear waters , blue skies and we saw the avalanches . It was a awesome moment to witness the snow sliding down while we were hiking up to see the lake. #hiking #lakes #aspen #colorado #scenicdrives In the beautiful mountains of Aspen, CO, my friend, Rachel & I went on a sweet hike along Hunter's Trail. Beautiful Aspen in fall colors. Vacation in that house must be wonderful! Wondering how much would that cost, lol. #aspen #fallcolors #autumn #colorado #weekendgetaway #lake Aspen is the most beautiful place even in summer. Tons of dispersed camping along the rivers and even some campgrounds if your in to that. Make sure to get your #hiking trails in. These are some of the best views of the Rockies! Photowalking the quaint and lovely town of Aspen, CO. Aspen Colorado in the summer is beautiful, with plenty of hiking and biking trails. Beginners can enjoy well kept, paved paths including this bridge over Maroon Creek near the Aspen Recreation Center. #takeahike Visiting Aspen, Colorado USA during the summer months is a must! Just pretty Mac Miller concert at Belly Up! Such an awesome venue!! Good food and drink Quaint Aspen, CO in the summer. Aspen downtown in the summer Love this little, boutique hotel in Aspen; very quaint, fancy and recently re-done/upgraded, and right in the heart of everything in town. There is a ton of history here, and the rooms/ common spaces are beautiful. Love the lobby bar, also. Cute little pika hiking at Maroon Bells to Crater Lake Aspen on a snowy day... Mother and cub Balloons and Pyramid Peak. The moon and balloons! #auquatrove the cleanest water I've ever see nestled down below the Maroon-Bells We had a great time here, watching the US/Belgium world cup match, with a great and very enthusiastic (college soccer player) owner, and crowd. The food is tex/mex style, quite good and the portions are generous (love the Nachos). It is also kid friendly, which we really liked. It is also smack in the middle of tons of other restaurants, bars and shopping; kitty-corner from the Hotel Jerome. Mother and cub Aspen on a snowy day...
