RidiculousPosted Oct 23, 2015
I think charging an additional $18.00 for parking per night is ridiculous. No coffee maker in rooms.

Pros: Fun, artsy, walkable to downtown Aspen...
Location: Super close to everything you need - shops, grocery, downtown...

Not up to Kimpton standardPosted Oct 4, 2015
Pros: Convenience to Aspen. Free wine during happy hour
Cons: Parking is non-existent so you have to pay a valet fee. Rooms are a bit small and well below normal Kimpton quality
Location: We were off season, so easy to walk into town. Maroon Bells and Glenwood Springs relatively close by. Breakfast options limited.
Rooms were tiny, as was bathroom. Obviously an older ski chalet establishment taken over by Kimpton. Two weddings took place on the one night while we were there, so various public areas were cordoned off. Difficult to use the pool and hot tub when wedding guests are having their BBQ in the same area. Thought it would be noisy in the rooms with the weddings, but in fact it was very quite. Although the staff congregated outside our room (103) for cigarette breaks, could smell smoke and hear them talking, not a major issue though

Very expensive parking. Place felt like re made old motel. Awkward layout. beds too soft Like on cheap motels. Staff looked like overly casual locals ... Too occupied to render much info to us. I guess we didn't look hip or young enough to be dealth with We've been to very nice klimpton hotels wh wad the reason we booked this one. Disappointing.

Nice hotel near everything.Posted Sep 17, 2015
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Was well appointed. The staff could not have been better. They even had a wine party in the evening. Add coffee for you. They gave you a shuttle anywhere you wanted to go. I would recommend this to everyone.

Best part of this hotel is the pool area and the friendly staff.

For an upscale hotel, I expected better cleanliness. Since they allow pets, i would expect the linens to be laundered better so I didn't have someone else's dog hair all over the bed I'm sleeping on. Disappointing.

A closet sized roomPosted Aug 31, 2015
Pros: Only the robes
Cons: The room size, if the building is remodeled. And the staff, who could be told to be more accommodating.
Location: downtown Aspen
This hotel has nothing going. I would never stay here again. The ONLY good thing were the funky robes. The room was so small that we had to plan our route because two of us could not pass at the same time. There were very bright lights outside on the building exterior so we could not leave curtains open at night. The pool was tiny. The hotel staff was unpleasant and unhelpful. This is one of the worst hotels I've been at in years.

First time in Aspen, Colorado.Posted Aug 24, 2015
Very happy with the hotel. Kimpton hotels have never disappointed us. The hotel staff was very helpful and attentive. Met Tara in the bar area. She was very sweet and took time to chat with us for a bit. Gave us great advise since it was our first time in Aspen. Loved our stay, wish we had more time. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
