Nice space, great location.

Pros: Location. Clean. Cozy.
Cons: An overall great stay my only suggestion would be to upgrade the windows to something more soundproof.
Location: Great location, walking distance to ice skating where we spent most of our time.
We had an overall pleasant experience. The space was perfect for our family of 5 (3 small children). I do feel it would have felt a little tight with grown adults in all the rooms. With winter gear all spaces seem small! An overall great stay my only suggestion would be to upgrade the windows to something more soundproof. As full conversations could be heard through closed windows and this room was on the 3rd floor. At one point a man ran down the street at 1 am screaming obscenities and it sounded as if he was right in the condo.

Loved the lodge

I really love the hotel and the staff. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was walking distance from the main town. I would definitely come back soon and would recommend this lodge to family and friends.

Be prepared

Our situation was unique so I can see why typically this hotel has four stars. My hotel reservation got double booked and I asked the gentleman at the desk for assistance in cancelling the more expensive one. He didn't seem pleased at all to help me so he spiteful cancelled the cheaper reservation. Therefore, I had to go in a cancel the second reservation and book an entirely new reservation. After all that was done, I get a call from a lady, I'm assuming the manager on duty the night we stayed(also unpleasant) asking if I'd like a room upgrade because we had two people. I explained we may have an additional person joining us and she accused me of lying on my reservation about the number of guests we had. Fast forward to our stay .. we get in that night and again get greeted in a Manor like we were in trouble. Seems odd to me someone is so willing to pin blame on innocent guests. The same lady was super helpful in giving directions the next morning but still seems hostile and judgemental. Overall, we were all appalled at the service and treatment we received. It is Aspen after all though so no real surprise. The actual facility was really cool, but everything else that happened was such a turn off we definitely won't be returning.

It sounds like the main problem was our staff members where not being friendly and helpful which shall be brought to her's and his attention. There is no reason for that to happen. I am sorry you will not be staying with us again, but fully understand, we normally have a 10 on our staff and not sure what was going through there head during you stay. Sorry for the bad experience.

Friendly with nice atmosphere

Pros: Friendly, helpful staff; lovely grounds
Cons: Seating in the breakfast area was difficult at the large table because of the table legs.
Location: We walked to the Sat. Farmer's Market as well as restaurants for dinner. Going to the Grottos outside town allowed for a short hike.
We recently spent 3 nights at the St. Moritz and were happy with the accommodations. Though our room was on the small side it was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Standard motel breakfast was enchanted by a wide and plentiful variety of fresh fruit. SInce this is also a hostel, there was some friendly conversation among those staying at the St. Moritz, which added a nice touch. The grounds were gorgeous, with bountiful flower baskets and plantings.. A hammock on the grounds was often occupied. The pool was inviting and clean. It's a short walk to the main part of Aspen which allowed us to leave our car at the hotel and see the town.

St. Moritz in Aspen

The night hotel attendant was extremely on point and helpful for my late entry and the parking. Room was a basic one by choice for me but everything was there. Nice atmosphere and great hot tubs that I didn't have time to use.

Pros: Price, breakfast, location.
The staff was very helpful with information. the hotel is in a fairly quiet part of town only a few blocks from downtown, and easy to find.
