Westin SnowMass Ski Resort

Pros: Concierge desk and attention to service.
Cons: WiFi connections in rooms seems to have some issues with connections.
Location: Snowmass Village, Colorado is an excellent choice for a ski adventure.
Overall I would say Westin does excellent job at appreciating and giving comforts to their guest. There were some issues with the Internet and WiFi connections in the rooms, and very happy to report the woman at the Thursday evening concierge desk went above and beyond making correcting the problem. My compliments to her for her outstanding attention to customer service and experience.

Our carpet was sopping wet due to a leak from the iced over balcony. After calling them multiple times and visiting the front desk they finally moved us to a different room (after a day and a half).

Worst Westin I've stayed.

Arriving late, it took 20min to check in. Front desk is not helpful. Pool has run out of towel, no one bring towels after we called the front desk. One hot pool doesn't work one day, then 20 people stay in the other. But we still have to pay the resort fee.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re so sorry to hear that you were unable to stay with us. During our winter season, a 25% deposit is taken upon booking and the remainder is taken 30 days prior to arrival. All guests must cancel outside of 30 days in order to get their deposit back. If they cancel inside this time period, they are responsible for the entire stay. We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience. Our summer cancellation policy is much more flexible because we are not in peak ski season then. We thank you again for your valuable input, and we hope you will consider giving us another chance to leave a more positive impression on you in the future.

Newly renovated, friendly staff

Pros: ski in and out, ski valet, recently renovated, free coffee in room
Cons: The shower in my room was poorly constructed, water damage evident. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Daily resort charge
Location: Ski, various bars and shops
The valet/shuttle staff were wonderful, I arrived day of the big snowstorm and they were understanding of my needs. Room was clean, spacious and modern.

The location is the best quality of this property, the staff is very young and not that experienced, terrible room service, but overall a good experience

Good location, staff could use more training..

The hotel was in a great location, was clean, and the food was overall good however we found inefficency from the staff many times during our stay. When we checked in there was only one staff member present so an unecessary line started to form (this was during prime check-in time) other guests in line were getting agitated and asked if another person was available as well, later we had lunch at Snowmass kitchen and our waitress had to be reminded several times on our order (never saw her write our order), our beer and smoothie never came so we cancelled our order as we had finished most of our meal. The table next to us also complained their smoothie never came and cancelled as well. We had a non-smoking room but cigarette odor came through from the vents consistently made a comment to the front desk the next day (again standing in line) and they said theyd check but no one followed up. The finale was when we were shuttled back to the airport the attendants forgot to add one of our luggage after we clearly pointed out the three they kept just kept telling us to get on the shuttle. They were prompt in sending a car half hr later with the luggage but it was stressful since our flight was departing within an hour and the ticketing lines were getting long due to flights get cancelled/delayed from the storm. The one staff member who met our expectations was Eric (an Intern at Snowmass Kitchen from the Philippines) he was professional, friendly, and ATTENTIVE.

I felt like the hotel was a little bit understaffed considering the x games were taking place in Aspen. Other than that, the staff was extremely friendly and the hotel is in a great location. You could stay in Snowmass the whole time or there is regular, free transportation running to and from Aspen until 2:00 A.M.

Close to the slopes, but that's about it.

Pros: Proximity to the slopes. Hot tub and pool area was nice.
Cons: The hotel itself is old with low ceilings. Even though recent updates have been made, the updates felt like an after-thought.
Location: Proximity to ski mountain was great. Other than that, the restaurants nearby were lacking and it felt like a ghost town around it.
The hotel did not feel like a four star hotel and was not worth the price. Staff and service was generally slow and not friendly. Remodel to rooms was just okay, bathrooms still need upgrading and were small. Rooms felt cramped.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re so sorry to hear that you weren’t fully satisfied with your accommodations. Our standard rooms have traditional 8ft ceilings, and our suites have 10ft ceilings. Some of our corridors are a touch lower, however, for most of our guests this is not a problem. We are sorry you had trouble finding any restaurants to your liking; there are 10 different restaurants to choose from along Snowmass Mall, and over 20 to choose from if you take the complimentary gondola down to Base Village. We apologize if our team did a poor job of explaining all of the various options. We’re also very surprised and sad that you found our bathrooms to be outdated, as they have recently been renovated. We’re so sorry that you found our staff to be slow and unfriendly – this is not acceptable by our standards, and we will personally look into this matter and ensure it is addressed. We are happy that you did get to enjoy our prime location, as well as our pool amenities, during your stay.
