Beautiful area, not a bad walk to campus. Didn't get to use pool or gym or hot tub, but it was nice to have the option. Was able to check in early which was super helpful for my plans.

The negative reviews (at least from our stand point in time) were completely not warranted. The facility was clean and orderly. The pool and hot tub (which we did not use) was apparently fine with the number of users. The staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. The room was as much as one could reasonably ask for given the room rate. Actually, more than expected. Microwave, small frig, coffee pot (1 cup at a time), bathroom was clean with blow dryer, even an ironing board and iron (which of course looked brand new). Little wary booking at first but highly recommend this facility and will go out of our way to book again if in the area again.

The hotel and our room was very clean and nice. Water pressure was great. Did not get a lot of sleep due to paper thin walls. Other rooms next to us and above us was very noise. Couldn’t get a good night sleep.

Stayed one night while taking son to OU for a college visit. Room was clean, beds were comfortable and staff was very accommodating. The only thing that could of been better was the complementary breakfast, no eggs bacon or sausage. It was still good with fresh waffles, biscuits and gravy, yogurts, cereal and such, but I need eggs, bacon and/or sausage.

Staff is very friendly we used to go down a lot and see a buddy and this was the place that we stayed at and they are amazing the place is clean.

Very friendly individual working at the front desk when we checked in and when we checked out! This hotel is very close to the bicycle trail in Athens so we have stayed here often in the past as a good starting ending point.

The place is really run down, carpets were gross. Had to unplug the fridge in my room it made so much noise.

Walls are paper thin, smells like curry, whirlpool was so dirty that you couldn’t see the bottom. Tight space for the money. Garbage sitting outside of a room that was leaking onto the carpet. It was some kind of meat packaging. Just not good. Got two hours of sleep then had to take my daughter on her campus tour at Ohio University varsity. We were zombies to say the least.

I would stay again
This was a perfect visit with my family the only issue I had at all was at the pool was barely warm enough to swim we were all freezing when in the water, other than that the place was very well maintained and clean and the service was great

Good hotel for overnight trip
Good hotel for an overnight stay. Needs updated. Hot tub was closed and there was only one vending machine with not much to choose from. The vending machine had both pop and snacks. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

There is no elevator. I walk with a cane and steps are very tricky. When we found there was no elevator asked for a ground floor room. Was told because I booked thru Expedia that they wouldn’t help me. I managed up and down no problem. Room was clean. Bathroom small. Older property that has been rehabbed. Because of the elevator I won’t stay there again. Wonder if they meet ADA standards. They probabily don’t care. Weird you needed a parking pass also.

Nice quiet facility. Visiting my son and this was very convenient to the campus. Great breakfast! Not sure I’d go there just for the pool. lol.l, but it looked ok. Nice front desk ladies!

When we checked in No one mentioned the Hot Tub was Not working and even when I booked in Oct, apparently it was not working then the Desk clerk said it had been down for Months. This is the reason I booked, In door Pool and Hot tub I will not ever stay again I was told there was nothing That could be done, so to the Owner/Owners of this Hotel Shame on You for not getting your equipment fixed for your customers

Check in staff was very friendly. Hotel was clean. Rooms were a bit small but served the purpose . Cleaning staff was unfriendly. Breakfast was a big disappointment. No hot food other than sausage gravy with a hard biscuit or a Belgian waffle as you got mean looks from an old cleaning woman that wouldn’t even greet you.

Not ideal
The pool was broken and that was one of the main reasons we picked this hotel. When asked about the pool, the check in person said no it is closed without any explanation. She did not seem like she wanted to be there and was less than friendly and helpful. The room itself was fine but different parts of the hotel were musty and smelled like smoke, very dated.

Checked in late afternoon and the check-in girl was grumpy and rude like we inconvenienced her by being there. The carpets going to our room from outside had not been cleaned during this decade. Was looking forward to using the pool but was told it was closed with no explanation why. Did not feel welcome, don’t think we’d stay here again
