The check in was easy, the room was a disappointment for the high cost, the beds looked as if they had be sat all over with lumps noticeable. The sink in bathroom barely drained when using. Also, the maid service was banging on the door at 9:15 for an 11am checkout, alarming my daughters. That possibly would have been avoided if there had been a do not disturb tag in the room (there wasn’t one). Very thin walls as we heard pretty much everyone nearby leaving out through the early morning. Won’t stay there again.

The employee who checked us in was lovely. The room is very outdated. Worn and downright dingy. The furniture is badly chipped and gives the appearance that it’s just old and worn. The door handles were falling off the doors and the room was just skeevy

Room not clean, smelled mildew, old chewed candy under bed. Toilet broken, furniture scratched and dented. Served same breakfast every day. No Fruit, bagels or English muffins. One yogurt for everyone to dip in. For some reason my key was deactivated and had to go all the way back downstairs to get it reactivated. Wish I could get a refund. Left early. It has gone down hill

I enjoy the rooms on how it is set up. Most private room I have stayed in. The staff that check my family in at 5pm on December 27th was extremely pleasant. I'm sorry that I missed her name.

I am sorry that you feel as though the staff was unprofessional to you. However, you didn't feel that way until we did not allow you to stay after letting another online booking company know that someone in your party was Covid positive and we did not allow you to check back in, knowing this information. During your entire stay here for 2+ weeks, I feel as though the staff went above and beyond, including doing your laundry. The fact that we made a decision based on the facts that we had, in order to keep our staff and other guests safe, should not be held against us. You have disputed charges, that you made in hopes of getting money back, after you and your girlfriend checked into and used and had no issues with.

Yes, we had a power outage but it was out for less than 2 hours. It went off a little after 8am and came back on at 10am. (This was a power outage that affected over 3,000 people, it was just not solely the hotel affected) We apologize about that inconvenience, but it was for a lot shorter amount of time than you believe.

Room was cold and heater was on all night just to keep it to 70 degrees. No extra pillows or blankets. Single elevator on our side was very slow. Breakfast was good.

Convenient to St. Mary’s where a family member was. Lots of dining/groceries/shopping close by. Odd setup with all the doorways facing into the inside. Makes it noisy with the noise funneling upward. Lots of homeless in the area and apparently with no card access from the outside they use the stairwell as a restroom. STRONG urine smell! Staff was great when I asked at 0400 in the morning to move because next door was constantly coming and going very noisy from 0230 on.

I think this hotel was an Embassy Suites until the property got too old for the Hilton to put their name on it. The carpet in our room is disgusting. I made the mistake of walking around in socks and stepped in a wet spot. There is food on the floor. We have found a french fry and half a ritz cracker so far - neither of which came from us. There's an unidentifiable object under the TV stand - could be an m&m, could be a peanut. The thermastat doesn't work. I'm freezing but it reads 75. The breakfast was disappointing. The yogurt is in a large yogurt tub that the staff just take back to the kitchen and refill. The sausage was shriveled up sticks. No individual milk or yogurts. No half & half for your coffee. This place made the free Holiday Inn Express breakfast i had last week feel like fine dining. We used points to pay for our stay but this place is charging over $250/night in Athens, GA on a weekend when there is not a home football game.

Our room smelled like mold. When I mentioned it to the desk she just shrugged her shoulders and gave me the sheets for the pull out couch. When we opened the couch the mattress had mold on it. The floor in the bedroom was soft. The door propped opeded when we arruved should uld have been a red flag.

Altogether, Country Inn and Suites was a convenient and comfortable place to stay. Two observations, tho: 1. Front desk service was great, folks are friendly and efficient. However, thru my 3-day stay, NOT ONCE did housekeeping enter the room to make up the bed, remove trash, or replace towels. Didn’t really bother me a lot, just seemed strange…lack of staff? 2. A pet peeve about hotels: bathroom tile grout is disgustingly filthy. WHY do a tiled floor if you’re not gonna bother maintaining it? Just use LPV. I wish I’d taken photos.

White splatter stains on curtains. Mold in the shower. The carpet was absolutely filthy! Stains all over the furniture. The air conditioner was so loud we all had to sleep with earplugs. Overall, it was a disgusting experience.

An Issue...
I travel a lot & I never, ever leave reviews, but I just had to with this place. The good: A free shuttle ride to the football game. The place was clean & the room had a coffee maker. The bad: 2 days into our stay, I noticed that the door on the suite wouldn't completely lock. It felt locked when you closed it, but if you leaned on it, the door would pop open. Then, I remembered that someone had tried to come into the room the night before, but couldn't get in b/c I'd applied the door stopper. Could've been a simple mistake by a patron or it could've been someone who knew the door only had to be leaned on to open. It was cracked open, but stopped by the stopper. Not blaming anyone, but it felt suspicious. Bottom line: Potential security issues aside, when you sell a relatively pricey suite for a football wknd, maybe the hotel should make sure its front door works.
