The worst thing about this hotel is the bed sheets seemed dingy, which is enough to make anyone not stay here again. The best thing was the hot coffee in the lobby in the morning. It is an old hotel, but if you can sell out on game day weekends and charge that kind of rate, you can step up your accommodations to better than where they are now.

Overpriced for a UGA football weekend

Cons: Much could stand improvement.
Location: Location NOT very convenient to UGA campus.
Wi-Fi was UNACCEPTABLE Would not work properly in the guest room. Only worked in small lobby. Not at all convenient.

Good shelter in a storm

Spent 3 nights. First 2 ok. Last night noisy. Doors slamming and tv noises until 11. Reasonable pricing. Short drive to Athens for meals and sightseeing.

I had business room and WiFi did not work reliably. Cell service data was slow, still I used up my data quota in one night night. No closets. Hangers bent. Cheap towels. Big room but no excess furniture. Only one painting on bare walls. AC varied room temp considerably. I had cold but they ran out of facial tissue so had to buy my own at local store. Breakfast was usual simple fair but coffee was especially weak.

No 2 night minimum, now I know why

We booked here for a 1 night stay, tough to find in Athens on game day. Checked in late, room was still reserved, but was a smoking room, phew!! Bathroom floor and room carpet could have been cleaner, but sink, toilet and tub were clean. We had to wash everything when we got home as clothes, luggage, even my CPAP machine smelled of stale smoke. If you book, be sure you specify non-smoking room!!!

Don't stay here

The walls are paper thin and the couple next to me were either fighting or having sex. I complained to the front desk twice but wasn't moved to another room. The air conditioner was so loud, I couldn't fall asleep but it was too hot to leave it off. My room was near an exit door which was constantly slamming. I won't be back.

Girl's Weekend Away!

Last minute girl's weekend away. Apparently grabbed the last hotel room in Athens. Honestly, if we had other option, this would not have been my first or top ten choice.... but since I didn't have a choice, we were here. I must say, I am embarrassed on my pre-judgement. The hotel was very safe. Our room was very clean. The front desk was very helpful and attentive. Bathrooms were not gross... they were clean. We did not use the pool facility. There seemed to be a large group gathering and we just didn't want to intrude. Breakfast was self serve. Lots of options. Self serve, microwaveable biscuits, yogurt, oatmeal, fruit and more. Great price and we Ubered into Athens for $5. Easy!

Don't stay here

Overall an unpleasant experience. I was placed in a smoking room despite reserving non-smoking, the bathroom door was damaged and did not close properly, the shower curtain was ripped, I killed several spiders in the room, and the carpet next to the bed was damp for some reason. The staff was unhelpful but polite. I was told I there were no non-smoking rooms available, and that their system did not acknowledge my confirmed request for one. I don't know if this problem is on them or hotels.com, but it is unacceptable. For the amount of money I paid the place was in ridiculously bad shape. I will never go back, not just to that location, but to any of the entire chain.
