When I got there, the motel didn't have the room I had reserved. Placed me in a smoking room which was horrible. When asked for my money back, the lady refused. I had to wait two days for the manager to give it back.

Pros: Location, location, location. Everything else was very good.
Great place to stay after a football game in Athens. Easy to get to.

Fair hotel for fair price

Posted Oct 9, 2012
Pros: The room was clean with new carpet, and the bed was comfortable.
Location: It is in the middle of the town with busy, noisy traffic and has a loud train that comes by regularly.
This hotel is OK if you are looking for a place to spend the night at a fair rate. Not the best, but certainly not the worst place I have stayed.

o.k. for an over night stay

It's the first Jamison Inn of the chain, and it is starting to look it. The bed and recliner in the room was comfortable. The rest of the room looked very dated.

it was great while it lasted

Like our first stay at Jameson Inn, we needed something convenient and Jameson Inn provided that. Although the only downfall to this was the train that ran by every half hour. Other than that we wouldn't mind booking a night or 2 with them again.

loud and uncomfortable

remember that scene in "My Cousin Vinny"? Does that train come by at 5AM every morning? This location was MUCH too close to the tracks, you could hear the trains all night. The mattress was so hard, I slept on the floor. And yes, the floor was more comfortable than the bed. Also, we had to stay a few more nights than we originally planned, and the staff seemed so put out that I wanted the room for longer.
