Helpful staff and excellent location

Posted Feb 7, 2017
Pros: Location, price vs value, Iovannis from the staff
Cons: Not remember if it had but a room safe would be a great addition
Location: Hotel is situated in the edge of Plaka, so all nightlife is very close. We managed to walk everywhere from the hotel.
Hotel is very near to Plaka, and to Monastiraki and Syntagma Squares. Everything was with-in walking distance for a couple in their 40s. Kimon Hotel staff is excellent, being very helpful all the times. We arrived to Athens via the X95 bus to Syntagma square, then walked to the hotel at 10pm in the night. Being in Athens the first time, we found some of the streets scary but it was only our initial impression. At day, it was normal and we felt very safe in Athens in the areas we visited. We only had two nights so we needed to to as much as we can, and Iovannis from the hotel Staff helped us a lot, with so much detailed information and even prepared us a couple of pages of places and addresses we asked. His help was very valuable for us to obtain the best experience from Greece.

Clean, Quirky, and Friendly

Posted Oct 26, 2016 on Hotels
The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. However, it might be worth noting that the hotel and room might be difficult for someone with mobility constraints. For example, there was a large step in order to get in and out of the bathroom. Also, in order to go onto the balcony, you literally had to climb through the window. We didn't see an elevator, however, the staff was eager to help carry bags up the stairs to our room. We were not bothered by these quirky aspects of the hotel, but it could be an issue for some.

Worth price paid

The room (and shower) was small if you carry big suitcases. We were ok with just two backpacks. Except for that, Room seemed recently renovated, clean and well organised. The location was good: close to shopping, restaurant and transportation. Of course in the walking distance to acropolis.

Small hotel in great location

Posted Sep 26, 2016 on Hotels
Was a little disappointed with size of room but after all it is only a hotel room and only for 3 nights and wasn't the end of the world. Saying that, it was very clean and well managed and in a great location. Be aware that there is no lift

This is a wonderful hotel with very helpful staff. It should be noted that it only has stairs to the rooms.

You get what you pay for.

The room was large and clean. Reception staff were helpful. The stairs are steep and there is no lift. The walls are thin and so I could hear everything next door well into the night. The hotel is on a busy, small street. The internet is open, i.e. not secure.
