The staff was excellent throughout. The bellhops always greeted me with a smile and excelled above anyone else. The area is near a homeless encampment in which you are sorta force to walk by if you want to reach a-lot of places in central Athens. I wouldn't say it was dangerous, as I am from New York so that isn't anything I'm not use to but it is a bit unnerving. The pool area is very tiny, its shared with the restaurant. The service was pretty solid but when i was sunbathing and some kids were swimming, its common to get splashed because of how tiny the area is. Breakfast was a huge plus, its free and its quite diverse in its offering. Across the street from the hotel is a great cafe.

The hotel staff is very nice and the atmosphere is quiet and plesent. The pool and the pool area are very small and that was a little disappointing but all in all I would stay here again if I ever return to Athenes

Very unsafe area. Lots of drugs, very dirty and smelly. Acropolis view is exaggerated. It served its purpose and the room was comfortable but I was warned against staying in the area lots while I was there.

Hotel was fine but I don't think it quite earned the 4* rating it has. Good things were the food, drink (although the drinks were a little on the expensive side), staff and the breakfast. Not so enjoyable was the noise when trying to sleep, the area itself has a lot of homeless people (although they didn't bother me it was dirty and I could see how lone females would feel unsafe). Although it was only a short walk to the metro stop it was like a task to cross to road (no crossing).

Enjoyed our stay at Novus Hotel. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very nice, and the bathroom had a really great shower. The breakfast exceeded our expectations, everything was amazing. The food at the hotel overall was really good. The rooftop lounge and pool area had spectacular views of the Acropolis and the city at night. Overall, I would book again! Great hotel!

Great views of Acropolis from rooftop terrace and pool. Comfortable beds. Excellent service. I feel sorry for the drugged people in the vicinity but the local businesses do their best to clean up every morning.

the Novus City Hotel is affordable and well managed. The staff was excellent and extremely friendly. They have a very nice breakfast and an evening buffet. I never saw a hotel staff with so many smiles and happy to be there. The rooms were comfortable, but not extravagant. Overall, my stay at the Novus City was a excellent experience. I would not hesitate to stay there again or recommend it to my friends. Bill

Pool isn’t big - don’t trust the pics. Other than that - a solid hotel. The rooms smell of smoking - even if they say it’s non smoking. Other than that - the bed is comfortable, the room is big, and it was clean.

We spent 4 nights at the hotel at the end of September’22. The hotel has a very convenient location to reach the most of Athens places of interest. Its pool with a great view on Acropolis is outstanding! Also, the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Worst hotel ever Location in middle of junkies and dealers, very dangerous at night Dirty, no one has vaccumed the aisles leading to the rooms in ages. Room dirty, and bathroom covered with black mold all over specially in shower area Safe would not operate

The staff was polite. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast, and food & drinks on the rooftop terrace were delicious. The pool was small but the rooftop view was lovely. The location was very disappointing. The streets are full of trash and there are homeless people & addicts sitting on the sidewalks. There is significant traffic on the surrounding streets and no crosswalks to get from the hotel to the nearby metro. I would recommend tourists stay closer to the Acropolis and Plaka areas.

Lovely, friendly hotel. My daughter and I arrived very early in the morning but someone was there to welcome us. They organised a tax to pick us up and told us the cost. Always happy to help. Breakfast offered a great buffet variety. I would recommend.

Good hotel overall but a few issues. Walls are very thin and lots of noise. Pool is only open until 7pm (at which time staff will kick you out promptly and put up a closed sign) which, during peak heat wave temperatures and a late sunset, is ridiculous. Neighbourhood is close to everything but felt unsafe at night to be walking down the street as the blocks around the hotel are not great. Clean large room.

Very nice hotel with free parking and breakfast included. Very spacious room and bathroom. Walking distance from plaka and acropolis if you are ready to walk 30min. Next to a subway station. tiny pool on the roof with a beautiful view on the acropolis, this is a must and specially at night. We loved it. The not so good is that the hotel is next to a street not advisable to walk through.

Great for a city break
The hotel is perfect for a city stay, although not necessarily positioned in the best of areas and sits in one of the more run down parts of Athens. The staff are all extremely helpful and happy and the rooms are more than adequate with plenty of space and all of the expected amenities

This is a nice hotel. It is not in the best area however. We saw multiple homeless people doing crack only about two blocks away. The rooms are nice and comfortable, but there are only a few restaurants nearby. The pool was nice, but they close it at 7pm.
