It was like walking into a sneaker

Pros: Every other thing was great.
Cons: Turn the AC on inJuly!
Location: Everything closes really early.
Walking into the room was a horrible experience that negatively effected the overall experience. The cooling system was OFF. Not set at 80 degrees or some other insane setting. A hotel in Georgia had the AC OFF in a room scheduled to be inhabited in July in GEORGIA!!!!!!! The room was hot and smelly. We were ready to sleep but that was not happening because of the hear.

Smoke smell on third floor hall.

Pros: Closest to Stone Mountain.
Cons: Go totally non smoking.
Location: Close places to eat.
Room was good and pool also. But the smell of smoke on the third floor hall was horrible. Hit you as soon as you step out of elevator. Really very strong. Told front desk about it and they said they would try to do something about it, but they didn't. Great place other than the smell of smoke.

I would like to apologize for the smell of the smoke on the third floor. Also, my hotel is one of the few that still has smoking rooms which is located on the third floor. Please allow us to accommodate you and your family again, just let us know that you definitely don't want to be on the third floor.

Nice hotel close to Stone Mountain

We needed a hotel in Stone Mountain for a pastor's conference. This hotel was close, beds were comfy, staff was nice and helpful, plus they had a free breakfast.

Comfortable hotel, safety problem

Pros: Comfortable and clean and close to Stone Mountain Park.
Cons: The staff should show closer attention to guests and assigned rooms. Breakfast should remain open until the closing time.
Location: Close to Stone Mountain Park. Restaurants were nearby, but traffic was busy.
I arrived to find the hotel computer was having problems and was assigned a room that was a double bed and not king as reserved. After traveling all day, I was too tired to hassle any more. After going to bed, the door was opened and in response, found out that our key code was assigned to another. Next day, the manager did apologize but no attempt to put us in a king room as reserved. Very dissappointed. However, the room was comfortable and my wife and I did not pressure the point. Having been offered later hotel rooms, my wife decided to accept a personal gift of pillows from the hotel. Hotel was very comfortable, though have to give a lower rating because of the carelessness of staff for safety.

Again, I apologized for the situation. This incident was a result of the entire Choice Hotels system crashing on Tuesday, April 7th, and not being repaired until Wednesday, April 8th around 7pm. It was a simple mistake by the desk clerk. We have never had this issue before.

Great alternative to the Stone Mountain Park hotel

Pros: Affordable and comfortable
Cons: It would have been nice if the room was a littel larger and the pillows were firmer
Location: Close to Stone Mountain park, lots of food choices
It was comfortable and close enough to Stone Mountain Park that we still felt like we were a part of the convention without spending a large amount of money. No complaints. Staff was pleasant and accomodating.

Good room

This was a last minute hotel stay. The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The only thing that took this from 5 to 4 stars is the noise. We were on the front of the hotel and the traffic was a little loud. If we need to stay again I'll request a room on the back side of the hotel.
