#Green Chihuly in the Garden in Atlanta's Botanical Gardens is really impressive. Dale Chilhuly displays 19 of his unique blown glass sculptures throughout the meandering gardens. If it's still there and you're around see it.... At night. 9 out of 10 - admission is just shy of 30$ but well worth the cost. A great burger joint in Atlanta. This is the original but I have to admit I like the one in mid-town on Peachtree a little better. Great burgers, tots and really most of their food. Decent prices in drinks. This trail is actually an extension of the original trail that joins Medlock Park to the Mason Mill Park tennis courts. Looking across Candler Lake at Lullwater Park which is a pleasant area to walk around and which is adjacent to Emory University, Atlanta. The picture is looking East and there's a hint of the VA hospital just behind the tree at the left hand side of the picture. The lake is also a habitat for wildlife including migrating birds and apparently there are fish to be caught as well. This building has a bit of a history. It was built in 1926 and was the former Emory University railway station for passengers and freight. The present name which is “Dooley’s Den ‘The Depot’” is a reference to the Spirit of Emory - do a Google search for information on Dooley - and the building presently serves coffee. For some time in the 70’s and into the ‘80s the building was actually the location of the Emory Credit Union. This spot is a pleasant place for a stroll around some well maintained paths although it’s not particularly extensive. There’s a pond which can attracts birdlife although with changing times it’s regressing to more of a prairie with occasional water and increasing vegetation due to natural silt intrusion. What is delightful about the preserve is the fact that it’s a little off the beaten path and therefore is not overly crowded while existing undeveloped next to a small shopping mall, car dealership and regular suburban homes. And it continues to be looked after by enthusiastic community volunteers. Old gas station turned into hipster burger joint........and it’s good! When you wish upon a tree...
