Not as expected

Posted Feb 1, 2016
Coffee maker was dirty. The concierge was kind enough to comp a breakfast for us but I would rather have a clean room than a free breakfast. The bathroom was small and the doors don't lock this I didn't like at all. The bed was comfortable but the tv although larger than most hotel rooms, the guide was horrible.

Nice hotel-close to everything!

Posted Jan 7, 2016
Cons: It would be nice to waive the parking fee for guests~
Location: Close to the airport, was located in a nice central area making it easy to navigate to all areas of the city.
The room was very nice and clean. I appreciated that the deli was open in the evening. The office/tv area was a nice option for teens to hang out. I would have liked a bigger bathroom area especially when trying to get everyone ready.

Thank you for your review. As a downtown hotel we strive to remain competitive with other 4 star downtown hotels with our parking rates. Fortunately we are one of the only properties that still offer self-parking at a discounted rate. We will be sure to share your feedback with our Executive team. Take care.

Nice but noisy

Posted Jan 3, 2016
Had room off pool atrium. First night, door slams in hallway kept me up. Second night was quiet. Last morning after 2am bedtime, kids were screaming and echoing in pool area at 8am on a Saturday morning which kept me up. Very annoying! Hotel itself was very nice. Nice fitness center, computer room, and indoor pool. Just might need to bring earplugs at night.

Nice hotel near Carter Center in Atlanta, GA

Cons: Offer free Wi/fi in room!
Quiet, clean room. However, $22.00 a night to park the car; NO free WiFI access in room!

Pros: The staff was great. Comfortable room. Pool area recently updated. Great location.
Cons: Outlet availability. Hotel restaurant was overpriced for the quality.
Location: Conveniently located downtown about a mile away from the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke, and the Georgia Dome.
I stayed for the Peach Bowl and New Years and overall had a good experience. The staff was very courteous and was definitely the best part of my hotel experience. The biggest problem I had is that there were no outlets readily available to plug up my electronics. Sure, I was able to go under the desk and unplug the coffee maker but that's not really what I expect from a hotel these days. Similarly on the side of the bed I slept on there were only 2 outlet spots and they were taken by the clock and lamp so I had to plug up my phone in the bathroom. I also was a little bothered that there was a bottle of water in the room on the table with a big tag that said "Thirsty?" with a little tiny $4 price tag on it. I am sure that many people would drink that bottle without even seeing that it wasn't complimentary. I didn't like that a hotel of this price would nickel and dime their guests like that over a $0.50 bottle of water. To male things worse on my 2nd night there was a second smaller bottle of water placed next to the first one. This one had no tag whatsoever, but I didn't touch it because I didn't know if this one WAS complimentary and the other one wasn't.

Just ok with hidden fees.

Pros: The staff. The pool looked great too, but didn't get to use it.
Cons: The unnecessary charges should be included like they are at any 2 star hotel.
Location: We were there for a game at the GA Dome, which was about a 20 min walk. All the restaurants and fun you need are within walking distance.
We stayed there for our teams bowl game/New Year. It is important to mention that the staff is exceptional. Every employee from housekeeping to security greeted us with a smile whenever we passed. Our waiter at Fandangles (their dumbly named restaurant) was awesome. Now for the bad: There is a $22/night charge for self-parking and a $9/day charge for the cheapest wifi. It's possible that this is the status quo for hotels in the area, but it seems unnecessary (especially the wifi.) If I can get free wifi for buying a $3 coffee at Starbucks I think Sheraton could maybe just make it complimentary. The rooms have been tastefully refurbished, but they are very small. It may have been the smallest king room I've ever stayed in. I ended up squeezing my medium-sized suitcase into the closet because there wasn't a space big enough for it. The water pressure in the shower was kind of laughable. Lastly, the walls and doors are paper thin. We got to hear some great quotes from our neighbors the first night like, "take your manboobs and get out of here" and "oh great, I forgot my underwear!" They'd obviously been drinking, but weren't being that loud. Ironically, it quited down New Year's Eve, but you could hear any talking/TV/music/baby within two rooms. My advice would be to pay a little more if you get the usual included. It'll offset the cost anyway. If you are looking for a true 4 star hotel this probably isn't going to do it for you.
